But! Media analysis brain: I can’t see it happening in canon. I think John can justify his relationship with Dean because he has so firmly cemented Dean as Wife in his mind. But John has always seen Sam as his son – and I think that’s a boundary he won’t cross. I also think John has some (perhaps internalized) homophobia going on and it’s easier for him to view Dean as a “woman” but not Sam. Lastly, Dean was never allowed to be a child but…neither John nor Dean ever allow Sam to be an adult. I think John infantilizes Sam in his mind and that’s really the nail in the coffin for why John wouldn’t let SJ happen.

Happy WW China <3 oh good question. Dean is the king of false bravado. Not that I think he hasn’t had loads of sexual experience — he has. But I also think he’s wayyyy more vanilla than Sam, loathe as he is to admit it. I tend to see Sam as pretty dominant at most times (even when he’s “subbing” I think he’s actually just domming Dean into service subbing by switching up roles) because he feels such a lack of control in his life, he’d enjoy that in the bedroom. And all the sex scenes we see with him in the show are pretty intense.

I can see Sam being into sadism! But I don’t think Dean is a masochist. He likes being ordered around in bed sure, but he also likes pampered. Maybe you can spank him…but he wouldn’t want to be flogged or beaten or what have you. He has enough of that in his out of the bedroom life.

I don’t think knowing Sam is into sadism generally is enough to make Dean clutch his pearls. He’s had a lot of sex; he’s aware that people’s preferences run the gamut.

BUT. I think hearing some of the more intense sadomasochism stuff Sam wants to (or has, if, I don’t know, he ever has the opportunity to go to a dungeon — or more likely have undernegotiated kink scenes with a one off he meets on the road) get up to though, has Dean 🫢ing. Like in a “really? You like that?” kind of way. Whipping, burning, branding? CBT? That sort of thing. I think any kind of genital torture really freaks Dean out! 31. Do you start with the characters or the plot when writing? Both ! It really depends. Sometimes I have an idea/plot/pwp I want to write and then I wait till I find the right characters for it. I sat on this one particular AU I wrote a couple years ago for like, 3 years before I fell in love with characters and was like “oh they’d work for that AU!” Or like, I have bulletproof kinks and I’ll tend to write pwp around that stuff for any ship. But a lot of times my stuff is character driven. I love making arguments for how I feel about characters via fic, I love exploring how I think characters would interact (which often leads to writing rarepairs or even pairs I don’t necessarily ship!) and I love writing time period studies, and that tends to come with the property itself and when it’s set.

44. What mistakes do you keep making no matter how often your beta corrects you? Ohhhh my god. My regular beta can confirm that there are many times they leave comments like “Spike what the hell are you trying to say here?” Lol a lot of times I have something I’m trying to communicate that sounds way better in my head and I need that outsider perspective to be like “bruh.” Also, I overuse commas and always have.

60. Have you had a writer you admire comment on your work? What was that like? YES!! Omg I was walking on air hahaha.

70. When asked, are you embarrassed or enthusiastic to tell people what you write? Depends on the person. If you’re down to clown I’ll happily babble at you. Otherwise if you ask what I write I’ll just say fanfiction and won’t elaborate really. Less embarrassment and more protecting myself lol.

How does John change when he knows Dean is going to have his baby? Does he step up or does he remain a wasteman 😌

oooooh tyvm for the ask!! i talked about this a little bit a couple dadfucker fridays ago but i'll go in a bit more in depth here. so i'm mostly of the belief that john would encourage dean the best he could to get an abortion (this is if dean even tells john that the baby is his. i can fully see him trying to pass it off as a random's for a while, but maybe john Just Knows). but let's say for the purposes of this ask that dean a) keeps the baby and john b) knows it's his. i think he...steps up in his own way. after all, i do think john was doing the best he could with sam and dean even if he was severely misguided, selfish, and at the very least neglectful and at the very worst abusive depending on how you interpret the relationship.

for example, i think he is even more strict with dean, disciplining him for every little thing telling himself that obedience is important and he can't even slip up once if dean is going to be a parent. he needs to stay safe. and in the second and third trimesters, i really thinks this manifests as john pulling the "you're going to weigh us down, you're going to be dead weight, i don't think you can handle this hunt in your condition." patronizing, but john is trying to protect dean from coming. it's still shitty. but that's how it's rationalized in john's mind. because yeah dean shouldn't be hunting in his condition, but dean isn't going to listen unless john gives him an order.

once the baby is born, i don't think the parenting would be all that different from how he parented sam & dean. raising it to be a little soldier. and dean would...probably fall in line with this even if he silently doesn't want that, since he is, after all, daddy's blunt little instrument.

sam on the other hand might be driven away even faster. he already resents his own childhood, can you imagine how he'd feel having to watch that happen to his little nibling/sibling?

so i guess the answer is he remains a wasteman😂
