Could I please have some fluff Chinacest with kittens?
“They’re so cute?” Zao has tears in his eyes, holding so carefully the small fluffy animal in his hands. It mews at him and an ew wave of tears escapes him. He buries his face in the kitten’s soft body. It’s too small to really pull away from him and is content to just be held.
“I can’t, i can’t handle this,” Zao sobs, peeking over the cat body at Yao who blinks dumbly at him holding a kitten of his own. He puts the cat down next to the other few that are up for adoption.
“How high are you right now?” He ends up asking. Zao just sniffles and puts the cat down as gently as he possibly can. He whimpers when the tiny cat hops into his lap. His heart feels like it’s going to burst at how much emotion is coming to attack him.
Yao takes a seat by him, rubbing small circles on his back to help him calm down. Zao leans into the touch as he tries somewhat to get himself under control. Their adventure to adopt a pet had slipped his mind and he may have had too much of his ‘special’ edible. It hit him when they got to the shelter and all of his feelings came rushing forth.
“I can’t protect them!” He cries, grabbing onto Yao by his collar and shaking him slightly. Yao just lets him be dramatic, letting a few more of the kittens crawl into their laps. Zao’s mind is fairly gone and he’s a mess of tears. He barely pets the cats, scared and shaking that if he pets them too much they might get hurt. Yao rolls his eyes.
“You’re not going to hurt them,” He says but Zao doesn’t listen, he eventually ends up on the ground with the kittens running all over him. It leaves the papers and signing up to Yao who has chosen a cat without Zao’s input because he’s too far gone to be any kind of help. He knows that whichever one he picks Zao won’t mind anyway.
“Let go,” He huffs and hauls Zao up by his arm. Zao wraps himself around Yao and coos at the small kitten he’s holding. The cat mews and Zao sticks a finger in their space and they brush up against it. He makes a sound that could be interpreted as happy but there’s no way to tell.
Back at their house Zao lays on the ground letting the small animal walk all over him. His mind is foggy and he can vaguely feel the creature crawling on him but he can’t get his body to move to do anything about it.
“You idiot.” Zao manages to tilt his head to the side and see Yao sitting down on the floor next to him. When the cat jumps into his lap he’s able to pet the animal and even tease Zao by holding the kitten over his face to make it bap Zao in the nose.
“I’m just so happy?” Zao manages to say. Yao sighs but a smile comes to his face. He lays down next to Zao and lets the kitten sit on his stomach. It kneeds at him and curls up to sleep. For a long time they stay on the floor, not doing much and only moving when the kitten mews and asks for attention. Yao leans over to place a quick kiss to Zao’s nose. Zao smiles dreamily and stays on the ground for a little while longer, content with exactly where he is.
Could you please do a 1p2p China with the prompt: HOW THE HELL DID YOU GET IN HERE, ARU!?!?!?
There are certain things Yao expects when he gets home. He expects to be able to get out his stuffy work clothes for something comfier. He expects to be able to eat all the food he could possibly stuff in his face and not care about anything for at least an hour.
The door swings open and he almost drops to the ground just because he doesn’t care to go farther. The floor looks like a nice place to take a nap almost. He manages to get to his room though and change before that happens. Even then he makes it to his living room to lie face first on the floor. It’s comfy and he’s been working a lot so taking a nap in an odd place isn’t the worst idea in the world.
He gropes for the remote, finding it, and clicking on the TV for just some background noise to help ease him off his ‘in the house alone’ nerves. He tends to hear noises like someone else might be in his home sometimes and it really freaks him out.
”Did you have a rough day?” The teasing tone jerks him upright and awake faster than he thought. He scrambles away from the voice and stares at the intruder wide eyed.
“How the HELL did you get in here?!” He shouts at Zao who jumps back at his explosive question. He shrugs as if that’s a good enough answer.
“Why are you here?!” Yao shouts again and Zao laughs this time which is better than silence at least.
“Well ya know you weren’t home so I just kind of..” Zao trails off with a sheepish smile on his face as if what he said is a good enough answer. It’s not. Yao fumes in anger.
“Don’t break into my house!” He screams, half a mind to throw something at Zao that might hurt. Zao ’eeps’ and ducks behind the couch to not be seen just in case but mostly to avoid directly getting yelled at. He raises his hands above the couch edge in surrender.
“Sorry sorry!” He says. Yao stares dumbfounded at him when he peeks over the edge, a small smirk on his face. Finally he groans in annoyance and flops back down to the floor, he’s too tired to deal with this.
“I made food?” Zao offers and Yao glares at him.
“I want some,” He mumbles. Zao brightens and goes into the kitchen to find what he made and bring a plate out. Yao continues to glare at him, eating the food lazily. He’s still angry, but Zao is livening up his space, talking and letting Yao nod off to a nap. So maybe he didn’t expect this, but he could get used to it.
Soulmate au where there’s a timer on your wrist that will count down until the moment you meet your soulmate.
1p2p China, idea by @ziggy-zaggy-doggo
A crackle comes through Yao’s earpiece, reminding him how many people are inside and what they harbor. An all clear is given and a good luck too. Yao locks eyes with the cop on the other side of him and they nod their head.
Quickly he turns and kicks the door as hard as he can, knocking it off hinge slightly. He kicks again and the door breaks. He follows the rest of the force into piling into the building run by one of the most elusive criminals they have on radar. A drug lord for lack of better terms, the longest standing with the largest empire to date.
They’ve been tracking the boss for months now with their seemingly endless stash. This is closest they have ever been to catching them. The opportunity must not be wasted.
Yao leads a small group down a hallway. Screams come from all ends of the building, twisting down the multiple hallways in a labyrinth of yelling. He’s not sure who is yelling and what for. That is not his mission. He directs two men down one of the corridors and they begin chase on a croonie who appears just at the wrong time.
“You hear that?” His partner asks, their heavy Russian accent nearly lost on him in the yelling. Luckily no gun shots. Yet. Yao nods his head and they run down a hall towards a voice calling the word “boss”. It’s their best guess.
The get to a door and it does not open to them. Voices on the other side yell out curse words and a few more warnings but it’s not enough. This time is Ivan who breaks down the door with one massive shove of his shoulders.
Yao and he burst in the room, aiming towards the druggies with stun guns in their hands. The workers of the hive’s eyes are bloodshot and skin paler than healthy. Ivan and another cop who comes from behind them start working on handcuffing them, announcing rights as they do. The workers freeze up and start pleading. One does not.
Yao looks to them in the corner of the room, lounging on lush pillows as if they missed the whole interaction. He aims his gun for them and they look up to him with a foggy bewildered expression before he can tell them what to do. His breathing is caught by the tell tale ding going off that he and everyone else has learned to recognize.
With slight horror Yao can see the timer on his wrist just peeking out of his uniform blinking 00:00:00:00 brightly then going black signifying it’s job is over. Yao drags his eyes back to the person slouched in pillow who now wears the dopiest shit eating grin they can manage. They pick themselves up, looking rightfully a mess and sluggishly move to Yao. His gun shakes in his hand.
“Sir I need to ask you to stop moving and put your hands int he air,” The person laughs rubbing at their face and still staring with bug eyes at Yao. Their eyes are red and not naturally so.
“Oh no special treatment for me? Come on babe,” They coo at him with a slur in their voice. The other croonies whimpers out pleads to the man in front of him but Yao is having trouble. Luckily the other cops notice. Gilbert barks out an order and makes it so the man falls to his knees. Still the man doesn’t stop staring at him.
“How does it feel?” They ask him. Yao isn’t sure what they mean but he feels confused. More than anything. Scared and confused and yet knowing who the man is, extremely worried about everything. They bark out a laugh as Gilbert forces them into handcuffs.
“How does it feel knowing your soulmate is the most wanted drug criminal in the world,” They laugh more, crazy, hyped on the drugs and Yao backs away from them now in horror as they continue to sputter incoherently. That is until they start to cough. It’s wracking and disgusting. The workers start calling out for help, yelling at each other about how they knew he took too much. Yao’s mind snaps back into action.
“I need an ambulance,” He prattles off into his ear piece, sliding forward to flip the drug lord to his back. He tilts their head, forcing their mouth open as their body continues to convulse from the over dose. another cop comes in and out and a few more, moving the croonies off to cars and then trials and possible jail.
Yao runs right beside the EMT with the boss in the stretcher as they race him to an ambulance. He stands back as they load him up, climbing in after.
“Who are you?” Someone asks for space purposes. Yao gulps down and looks back at the man i the stretcher.
“I’m his soulmate,” He says unconfidently. The medical personal are too concerned with making sure he lives to give Yao any pity looks.
–
The heart rate monitor beats steady but Yao feels there is nothing steady about his situation. He’s been going to the hospital as many days as he can manage to see his soulmate. Zao as he learned from the doctors who received his medical information as well the kinds of drug sin his system from some of his subordinates who talked to keep him alive.
Yao watches him breathe, wondering what kind of person he’s tangled up in and meant to be with. Other cops and lawyers have come to talk to him, telling him that Zao will attend trial and rehab and jail. There’s nothing he can do about that.
He drops his head to his hands, resting his elbows on the bed side to keep himself propped up. Out of all the people he had to be with, they ended up being a wanted criminal and one of the worst drug addicts in the nation and then some. And he, a cop, got stuck with them, found them during the bust.
He had been far too focused on capturing the Dragon Clan drug ring that he didn’t pay any attention to the timer embedded in his skin. Zao had been to caught up in the numbers going down to escape. He might have been dead if he had.
He lifts his head an hour later from the blankets, having fell asleep. All the stress of capturing the ring, finding a soulmate, and staying up weeks before hand every second both of them came closer really took it’s toll. He runs a hand through his frazzled hair and glances over Zao.
He’s still out of it, skin looking more natural than it had been which is a plus. His arms are skinnier than they should be, muscle shrunken from the drugs and lack of health. He sighs and stands. His leave of absence can only last so long.
“Leaving me already babe?” He pauses with his hand on the door frame. He takes a deep breath before turning around. Zao has his eyes open, his head tilted lazily to the side. His eyes are no longer red. He shifts with a pained groan and Yao kills the part of him that wants to make sure he’s okay.
“If you weren’t strapped up and hospitalized I’d punch you,” He says instead. Zao laughs softly which turns into a cough and then Yao goes to him, taking back his seat from before.
“Do it babe I like it rough,” He says and hisses, shifting more. Yao wordlessly, but glaringly, helps him shifts his pillows to be more comfortable. He looks like death took him to dinner.
“You’re an idiot,” Yao says to him. Zao just smirks.
“But I’m your idiot,” He remarks. Yao drops his head ot his hands, once more wondering how he got stuck with such a person. He glares over the tips of his fingers as Zao giggles.
“I’ve been wanting to say that forever,” He admits. Yao sighs and almost reaches for him but doctors come in, sensing that he is awake. He is ushered out of the room as they work, casting one last look back to find Zao already smirking at him.
–
Yao silently absorbs what the rehabilitation doctor tells him. Large traces of opium and minor traces of drugs Yao can’t even pronounce were found in Zao’s system. He’ll be in the rehab center for a long time now and then after that he’ll be sent to jail for his drug criminal record. There is nothing Yao can do to change that.
Once he has been informed and the doctor decides he’s not going to flip his lid about his soulmate being kept from him, the doctor leads him down a few winding hallways to a room where Zao, who looks healthier if that’s possible, has his feet propped up on a chair reading something. He throws the book in the air dramatically when he spots Yao.
“Babe!” He cheers and walks over. Yao sighs trying to prepare himself for whatever Zao might throw at him but he’s still caught off guard when Zao picks him up and spins him in circles with a loud laugh coming from him.
“You came to see me~” He teases with a smirk on his face. Yao narrows his eyes at him and smacks him in the back of the head.
“Put me down,” He commands. Zao growls at him in a pretend sexy manner but does as he’s asked. The doctor explains a few more things, Zao not looking embarrassed by his actions at all, then takes his leave to give them some visitation time. Yao twists up his nose at Zao’s hand in his.
“You came to see me,” Zao says a little more dreamily. Yao rolls his eyes, allowing himself to be pulled down a couch and snuggled into.
“I’m in love wiht you already~” Zao muses. Yao doesn’t respond to that. He has no answer. Zao prattles on about how bad the place is and how much he wants to leave and run away with Yao to the mountains. Yao hits him for that too.
“You need to get better,” He says forcefully. A nurse comes by to tell Yao it’s time to leave. Zao pouts but grabs his hand to walk with him as much he can.
“You worried about me?” He snickers at his own question. Yao pauses then rounds on him, glaring at him harshly.
“Yes,” He admits openly. Zao sputters, almost silent for once then his face flushes. Yao blinks at the development and sputters himself when Zao wraps him in a tight hug.
“How did I get so lucky to end up with a soulmate like you?”
–
He gets called four times saying Zao went into another withdrawal shock. Only one of them sends Zao back to the hospital. Yao is there beside him the whole time.
–
Yao lifts the hat on his head kindly to the guard at the door. They let him in and Yao spots Zao sitting a table, resting as much of his upper body on it as he can. Yao gets close enough to run his fingers through his shorty and choppy hair.
“Babe~” Zao coos at him, smiling happily. Yao rolls his eyes and takes a seat by him, letting himself be dragged into a snuggle fest. Zao is in a low stakes prison now, knowing he wouldn’t dare try to escape knowing Yao would turn him back in, also Yao threatened to not visit him if that were the case.
He’s healthier now, as much as he can be in jail. The drugs have flushed themselves out of his system from his time in rehab and he’s been able to eat and work out more having the time. He’s been sober for four years.
“I missed you~” Zao coos in his ear. Yao pushes him way slightly but a smile tries to break free. Zao manages to get it out of him with a few bad jokes and lame flirty lines. He goes on about the other prisoners he managed to make friends with, and surprisingly to him most of all, he’s only gotten beat up once.
Yao tells him a little about the outside world, making Zao laugh and complain about it even though he’s not actually out there. Yao also tells him he managed to go to Zao’s old house, collect a few of his belongings, the stuff that looked important at least, and bring it to his house for safe keeping. Zao kissed him on the cheek for that.
“You’re the best,” Zao tells him with stars in his eyes. Yao huffs but he smiles. They share a long lingering hug when it’s time for Yao to leave and Zao being sneaky manages to peck him with a kiss. There’s not much Yao can do about that.
–
It seemed no matter how old Zao got he always acted like a child. He practically runs out of the building and crashes into Yao, picking him up and twirling him about. His laughter echos out into the open and Yao can’t help but laugh too.
“Put me down,” He says with a smile and Zao does so gladly because it puts Yao at the perfect height to be kissed.
“Thank you,” He says with more feeling that Yao expected. He’s not sure what Zao is thanking him for but he accepts another kiss or two.
“Of course,” He says. Zao nuzzles into him, happily talking as they get in the car and drive to Yao’s home. Yao smiles over at him, excitedly looking out the window. They may not have met well, but there is nothing Yao would change about his soulmate.
