Um... hi everyone!! 😊👋 it's been a while 😅

So just thought I'd give you guys a little update about my life and where I've been. About halfway through last year, I was having a hard time with some life stuff and it really tanked my creativity and motivation. Hard. I haven't really worked on any projects since and it's been pretty tough trying to get back into it too. But!! Every now and then I check my Tumblr feed and my AO3 page and I've really appreciated everyone's continued support of my works even despite me basically disappearing for over a year 😅😭

I've come to really miss writing and I'd love to get back into it, so I think I'm going to try. Slowly, but try 😂 so if any of you have any prompts or ideas, please feel free to shoot me an ask!! I'd greatly appreciate it 😊 in the meantime, I hope to see you all again soon 😊😎

I just reread this one the other day and lemme tell you... I still really love this fic. There is just something about the softness of Din and his son hanging out at the beach for 6k+ words that does it for me hahaha

2. my heart is with yours in another life

Mandomera has such a special place in my heart. So special in fact that they are the first ship I’ve ever written for! And I’m so glad because I have met very cool mutuals because of it ;)

3. cut open my veins and see the cosmos i bleed for you

My first 5+1 things! I loved writing and posting this fic chapter by chapter. It was so fun reading people’s reactions!! <33

4. it is easier to confess to the void than to your beautiful smile

Rebelcaptain also has a very special place in my heart. I especially love this little fic TvT

5. it takes strength (you gave it to me)

The season two finale destroyed me as much as it destroyed everyone else so this was my way of coping, and I still like the end result!

+ Bonus of probably my favorite art piece I did last year hahaha

It was only three episodes ago that Ahsoka was telling Din that Grogu has a very strong attachment to him, so strong that she advised him to let Grogu's powers fade rather than train him. Ultimately, she knew it wasn't up to her, which led them to Tython, and there Grogu was going to choose his own path. It just seemed so implicit that Ahsoka and Grogu already knew what he was going to decide.

And when the time came, Grogu looked between the man who became his father and a stranger and he chose to leave.

What happened to choosing Din?

It's absolutely incredible to me that Din thinks he can just give Grogu away, so much so that he has to give himself Grogu a speech about how when they find the Jedi, he has to go with them, because that's what Din was assigned to do and there's no ifs, ands, or buts about it.

And Grogu kept on playing with his toy and said, "Okay, Dad, love you."

"Love you too."

Okay I know this must be redundant by now, but I shall say it again: the act of Din removing his helmet, revealing himself to that room full of Imperials + Mayfeld just solidifies how far Din is willing to go to save his son. From EPISODE ONE people have been trying to see underneath the helmet and Din has been quite adamant about the helmet stays on to the point it was drilled into our heads as the audience. So as soon as he removes it of his own volition!!! For the sake of his son!!!! It's a big freaking deal!!!!! It was an excellent visual indicator that Din is not messing around and just how important Grogu is to him

I find it so endearing how much Din likes Baby's name. He called Grogu twice just to see the baby look up at him, and he got all chuckley and cute. You know he was smiling beneath the helmet!!

When Grogu looks at the video feed of Luke and he touches the screen, the way Din looks at him, and then at the screen... I think Din knew what was about to happen
