Discovering China's Mysterious Graffiti Village 中国神秘涂鸦村

I was invited to visit Jinyun Xi in Zhejiang province, China as part of a street art festival that was taking place in the village of Shangxiao Xi Cun about 45 minutes by train from where I am staying in Yiwu. 

I met up with the homie Azerox (check out his channel here: https://www.youtube.com/user/MegaAzerox ) and enjoyed the activities that were taking place such as break dancing, musical performances, painting and even a fashion show put on by the children in the village. 

It seemed everyone in the village was taking part in the event in someway and the villagers were very proud that they were hosting this unique event. The day was roasting in the late 30’s and I was pretty sunburnt the following day. 

The event featured artists from all over China with different styles and methods and was very interesting to see the difference in styles that are evolving in China.

I Managed To Graffiti A Chinese Train! 🇨🇳

Met up with the Sensei Azerox aka Born Writer for an afternoon in Nanjing, Jiangsu province for a  painting session on a Chinese passenger train. 

The weather was boiling hot and it was actually pretty hard to paint as its fairly high but I managed it in the end.

Nanjing, capital of China’s eastern Jiangsu province, is roughly 300km up the Yangtze River from the city of Shanghai. It was the national capital during part of the Ming dynasty. 

Many monuments and landmarks remain, including Zhonghua Gate (Gate of China), a preserved 14th-century section of the massive wall that contained the old city’s southern entrance. 

It is also famous for the Nanjing Massacre by the Japanese which started in 1937.
