Ellen always knew what to look out for if she began to turn. The headache, the tingling in her arm, the blurry vision. But she never experienced it, not a single time. She thought maybe it was a one off, a random blip in her family history. Walking into her son’s room and finding a small chipmunk proved her wrong on that count.
