First of a Snapped Au, something i’ve been curious to explore for a bit now. Short piece, less then 1k words.

OR A WEREWEASEL STORY!!!!!!!!

( It’s time I stop putting stuff off, so every single drabble I complete, I’mma take a shot! Huzzah! )

Wereweasel time, boys and girls!

“You’ve been avoiding me Jack! I thought we never hid anything from each other, we’ve always been honest so. . . so please let me in, damnit!”

Hiccup slammed both fists against the door, forehead pressed to the wood, just under the apartment numbers. 312. A number Hiccup knew by heart now, knew the direction. Up the stairs, the elevator was broken half the time or made sounds that made ones stomach drop in pure fear, ten steps forward, a turn to the right. 

There had never been a time they hadn’t told each other everything. From grade-school crushes, to bad report cards, confessions of feelings between each other. They had experienced everything together too. First kisses with girls they thought had cooties, first time being drunk at 17 that sparked the first awkward kiss between the two, then long nights awake, talking, fingers laced together, side by side. 

So this. . . this was ripping at Hiccup. It was a full minute before the door unlocked and cracked open. Hiccup jumped at the chance and entered the room. The curtains were drawn closed and only that fucking lava lamp Jack wouldn’t throw away. The thing was trash as all hell. 

“Jack, what’s going on?”

“Hiccup I. . .  I’ve been hiding something for years and I just can’t keep doing this to you. I love you. . . and I hope what happens won’t change your mind of me.” Jack whispered, tugging the curtains open. 

In the light of the full moon, Jack was radiant, a shining star along the dim living room, near sparkling. Wait, was the fucker actually sparkling? Did he coat himself in glitter again? 

The glitter got stronger until he glowed a pure white. Without a flash that Hiccup had to cover his eyes from, Jack had disappeared. In his place, was a tiny as all hell white weasel. Blue eyes included. 

There were no words at first before Hiccup gave a groan. 

“I’ve been fucking a weasel this entire time and without a rabies shot.”
