Hello again! As mentioned earlier, I found insecticon Bumblebee today and am *very* interested in the concept.
Like, I know it is in the Prime series but there's just so much to talk about. Does Bee view the team as his hive?
No, wait! First - how did he get to the Bots? I read that Shockwave modded him a bit to look less like a bug, but how did he escape? Did he wander around the ruins of Cybertron or did he escape in the beginning of the war while things were not as bad?
Did Bee just see the Bots and decide to follow them? Was he scared of other mechs because (points aggressively >) *Shockwave*! Or was he just really young, alone and in trouble and one of the bots (Optimus? Ratchet? Someone else?) helped him and brought him to their camp since Bumblebee was 'neutral' and young?
What does he think of the team? Insecticons usually have a hive with a queen, right? Does he think of the team as some sort of weird hive just to make sense of it? Like, every member has a role in the hive and so on?
Did he talk normally, like in canon before he got his voicebox damaged, or did he do the beeps from the start here because he was a bug? Does he eat different things on top of energon?
What does Bee think of the kids and Earth? Does he like it more? Does he have a secret hidey hole/burrow somewhere in the canyons? Does he still get to drive Raf and be friends with him? Does Raf notice something might be different with Bee's interior, like it doesn't look like standard car interior?
What is Bee's opinion on Airachnid? The other insecticons followed her orders but I guess Bumblebee won't do that. She's just a big BTCH and almost killed Arcee and Jack (hive members?).
Does Ratchet know something is different with Bumblebee? You know, since he's the medic and all, he must know what parts should be in or not. Does he pretend not to notice or does he help Bee blend in?
On that, would the team know? Would there be like - one big reveal OR maybe the members would learn about Bee one by one and get used to his more buggy tendencies?
Can Bumblebee fly in this or did the mods make it hard to fly, since the other insecticons did not have tires, headlights, doorwings and so on.
Oh! Bee also looks very different, is it solely because of Shockwave's experiment or is he like, a larva from a different species/hive than the insecticons we see in the series? Just, him also being a different kind of insecticon than the large beetles would make more sense with him! He's all yellow and slimmer in a sense, a lightweight compared to the bulky beetle ones. Plus, in v 2.0, his wings look to be of the 'soft' type, you know the ones on insects that don't have a large, hard shield on the backs to shut over their folded wings. So maybe that could be it - Bee is just not the same kind of insecticon?
Ok I’ll go through the whole story of Insecticon Bee real quick! This whole au was made with @clover50
So Bumblebee was the runt of his hive and couldn’t fly from the start, or even have a bug alt mode; so he was willfully given up by the hive to be experimented on by shockwave.
Shockwave increased his intelligence and gave him the ability to hide himself among cybertronians and seem like one of them. It was after this Bee managed to escape. He fled to the surface of cybertron where the war was just starting to happen; and he was found by an Autobot scouting party. After spending some time with them he decided to show them his true form; which did not go well and the scouting party attacked him, but he managed to flee from them as well. After that he vowed to never show his true form to anyone.
He was later found by another scouting party and brought to the rest of the autobots peacefully where he met Optimus and officially joined them. He spent a very long time with the autobots with no one finding out about his history; claiming amnesia whenever someone asked his history.
It was only after he lost his voicebox at tyger pax did someone find out; Ratchet, who found out while repairing Bumblebee. Ratchet knew that there was no way Bumblebee was a spy or had a hint of deception after the way he defended the autobots at tyger pax and refused to give Megatron any details; and ratchet agreed to not tell anyone that bee was an insecticon.
The TFP show goes on as normal; and Bee loves earth and the kids so much! He had some odd habits, like going off to who-knows-where for hours (he likes going to a cave to take a nap in bug form and hiding shiny trinkets there)
He *heavily* dislikes arachnid, and the hive due to how they treated him so long ago. thankfully the changes shockwave made bumblebee relatively immune to what arachnid tells the other insecticon; however he can hear them.
Things drastically change when shockwave reenters the picture. Now clover and I made a couple different paths it could go down:
1) shockwave kidnaps bumblebee and reverses what he did. Bee is now as dumb as a normal insecticon but as loyal to the autobots as ever; and under shockwave’s mind control. He is eventually rescued by the autobots; but he’s still dumb until the can recover the code that made him intellegent in the first place
2) shockwave starts reversing the process but bumblebee escapes and goes into hiding for weeks; scared of getting hurt. Only he’s tracked down by team prime and brought back to base peacefully, although some distrust from members of team prime. He’s still a little dumber than before and can’t transform into a normal cybertronian, but it’s still smart enough to go on missions
After both of these they recover the code and get Bee back to normal, although now that everyone knows he is an insecticon he becomes far more comfortable with showing his odd habits of being an insecticon. When the war ends he keeps up the ruse of being a normal cybertronian; but shows his true nature to those who know about it

During the events of RID15 the charade begins again; with Bee hiding who he is easly. Something comes up- not sure what yet- where the they make a mod for bee so he can fly, but he will lose the ability to turns into a normal cybertronian. He takes the mod in an emergency. He does the rescue and things calm down, but he has to get used to being an insecticon full time and even know how to fly.
It’s definitely a difference, but they get used to it! And blades gets to teach Bee how to fly, to much failure and laughter

Can someone who ships bee/blurr DM me so i know their dynamic? I think it would be really fucking funny if i added it to my Bumblebee swap au and have blurr flirt with Bee only for him to be very confused. Like genuinely if you DM me I will add this in as a one shot chapter or segment
