Naki noticed a peculiar looking figure out of the corner of his eye. They did not smell particularly human, and nor did they dress like any denizen of his world. In fact he had never seen anything like it. Attention caught, he started to tail her.
Naki was, not exactly the kind of stranger you wanted to meet on the street. He had all the classic hallmarks of somebody who was going to cause trouble. He walked with his shoulders hunched, hands dug deep into his pocket. His suit alone made him look like a Yakuza, though a patron of a foreign world might not recognize that. His footsteps were heavy, and not at all subtle. His eyes were the worst part, they were completely dark even with his sclera his normal color. Even his natural eye color was a red that seemed to glow in low light. He breathed out of his mouth too, which was just, bad manners.
He had a bad aura about him. That was undeniable. Most ghouls did, they were existences that were born wrong into this world. That was however, not the entire truth to Naki’s existence, even if he could at times live up to his own aura.
The person he had been tailing finally turned around to confront him. Before they could sy anything though, Naki’s entire demeanor seemed to change in an instant. He straightened up and smiled, the kind of naive smile a child wore when meeting a new person for the first time. “Hey! Your hair looks super cool, I was gonna ask you, do you dye it at all? Cuz I like the color and I was thinking of doing the same. My big bro told me not to mess with too many chemicals though, because they’d seep into my skull and make me dumber than I already was.” A pretty dumb reason to follow somebody for two blocks just to ask that question, but, Naki’s own nature betrayed his identity as a ghoul. It made him unpredictable.
