I'm gonna use yet another oc I've never posted about— old Little Nightmares kid who is my favorite oc overall :3

How easy is it for your character to laugh?

I think Ryoto would likely be into dark humor or nonsense humor, probably somewhat hard to get him to laugh, but he would lose his damn mind over the image of an egg with the word "suspicious" on it

If they were asked to explain the difference between romantic and platonic or familial love, how would they do so?

"Hm... romantic love to me is like when you feel like you want to be with a person all the time, you trust them a lot, and you wanna be overly affectionate with them. The line between romantic and platonic is a bit blurred to me, to be honest, but I'm not as... attached, I think, with my friends. Familial love is the feeling of wanting to take care of each other." Note: Ryoto is demiromantic :]

How do they feel about children? 

Ryu is fond of younger kids, feeling a bit older-brotherly with them and desiring to protect them from the dangers of his world. It helps that he has/had a younger brother named Hayden

Why are you excited about this character?

I'm pretty sentimental with Ryoto! He's pretty old and my favorite oc, and when I first met my QPPs through LN rping, he's the one I was playing as ^^

Does your slugcat prefer company or to be alone?

The Troglodyte definitely prefers company, but unfortunately, they haven't met any other slugcats or iterators in a while before reaching Pebbles and Moon's retaining wall. They've tamed a couple of lizards and mostly has good rep with lizards and scavengers, though!

The Cure doesn't mind being alone most of the time, they mainly hang around iterators anyway and get company through them and their overseers. Even if they found a slugcat colony or something to live with, they wouldn't be able to stay long, anyway, they've got rot to eat.

Is your slugcat aware of the cycle and the Great Problem? If so, do they have any opinions on it?

I don't think that The Troglodyte would know about the cycle and the problem. Even if they did, they'd likely have a mini existential crisis for a couple of cycles before going about business as usual. They die and wake up to retry until they die of old age, and that's how the natural order of this world works.

Cure knows and thinks about it occasionally. It's a strange feeling to know you're a purposed organism made to save someone's life under these circumstances, but if they're cherished and they are happy, then is it really a bad thing? They struggle to figure out if they'd rather ascend or indulge in the natural urges but they don't wanna leave an iterator to suffer and die, plus their creator worked really hard on them for a long time. They beat themselves up a bit whenever they die, though, and worry about the timelines of previous cycles.

How does your slugcat spend their time in a shelter, once they get there? Do they fall asleep immediately, or do anything else, if they sleep at all?

Troglodyte will normally sort out whatever items they've stashed, groom themselves, and maybe plan out the next cycle if they have a destination in mind before heading to sleep.

Cure grooms themself thoroughly before going to sleep. They occasionally lie awake and ponder existence before they can finally drift to sleep.

If your slugcat could have an inventory of three items, what would they carry/wear?

Troglodyte would totally wear sunglasses practically everywhere due to their light-sensitive eyes. They'd likely carry a rock and perhaps a bag of pearls (they like being friends with everything. Sucks being nearly blind while there's aggressive creatures around)

Cure would like to wear a scarf or bandana designed after their iterator, wanting to show their pride and appreciation that they were a creature their iterator wanted to exist (if that makes sense — I'm partly winging some of this ngl but it's good to help flesh them out). Would definitely carry around explosives, too, and a sharp blade good for scraping organic gunk off of metal.

One of your favorite 80’s songs

I don't like '80s music. The closest I've got is maybe Everybody Wants to Rule The World (Tears For Fears) but especially the Hunger Games version despite not even being interested in the movie or the book or watching/reading either of them. The other closest possible thing could be I'm a Member of The Midnight Crew (Eddie Morton, 1909)

A song from the year that you were born

Uhhh, Idk if I know any? I don't pay attention to the release dates of anything and you can't search liked songs on Spotify desktop for some reason, and searching by year doesn't seem to work or just doesn't come up with anything when I search my birth year on mobile :/

Show us your oldest piece of art you have on hand.

There's three I could consider the oldest... the first one is from 2017 and was before I figured I could make "real" art but I put some effort into it. Made in on MSpaint with a trackpad lol. I think the second is from 2018, and I was kinda proud of it. The third is from 2018 and happened when I tried to draw something seriously and saw that I could, in fact, draw ^^

What medium/program do you use the most in your art?

So far, I think I'm kinda evenly mixed between digital and traditional as far as visual art goes. Traditional is nice for doodling random stuff, and sometimes I do a traditional sketch and then digitize it. I've mostly been writing lately because I haven't been able to get myself to draw in a long while though rip
