The glorious start of the Pride Babies' friendship

This took WAY longer than I'd like, but at least I managed to finish it before Pride Month ended :D

Spade is a designated playground, Ace likes hanging around (pun intended), Acalie is still an affectionate biter, Arabella is still tired and Arrow just enjoys his cuddles <3

What are Chirrs

Chirrs are large, sheep-like insects that always love a good cuddle. Averaging at the size of a house cat these magical little dudes are clever and stubborn but loving to those they deem part of their swarm

Like sheep or poodles, chirrs have soft wool that continuously grows through their lifetime and need regular grooming. Many fiber artist will use their chirrs' fur to make yarn or thread, making soft and plush projects

As essentially oversized aphids, chirrs have an incredibly specific diet of saps and fruit juices. In the wild they'd cut through the bark of sap rich trees with their claws and then tap the tree with their beak-like stylets to drink the sap.

For house chirrs tree syrups cut with water and simple blended fruit smoothies will make up most of their diet.

Wirr Magic

Every Chirr nymph is born with a spot on their forehead that denotes their magic color. As they mature this marking evolves into a design that often hints at what their power will be

Chirr powers are natural magical defense mechanisms, granting each chirr a way to escape predators when cornered

Melt: These Chirrs physically melt into a puddle that has the consistency of oobleck when threatened. Not very useful for hiding while theyre on the kitchen floor but their easy to lose track of in the grass

Burrow: Burrowing Chirrs can quickly burrow into the ground and often build elaborate dens for their swarm in the wild. In the home this can make them destructive, and isnt kind to the lawn. Need especially good training or you might end up with a hole in your floor

Sparklers: Bright flashing lights and sparklers come from the marking and antennae. Can confuse and temporarily blind creatures who see it.

Float: Lets the chirr float a couple feet off the ground by default. If they push off of something while floating they can significantly increase their jump height. Fences aren't much of an obstacle to these chirrs

Daze: Dizzies and confuses the target creature. Similar to the feeling of being drunk this can stop many creatures in their tracks. Large creatures will often be dazed for less time.

Throw: Telekinetically hold and throw small objects. Must be light relatively light to go very far but that leaves plenty of options for mischief

Chirrs and Wirrs is a shelter for stray and abandoned magical insects called chirrs!

These little guys are cuddly and social and do best in households that can keep up with their social needs and they get along well with pretty much any creature that is nice to them ^^

Adoption Rules

Pick a chirr from the active batch and draw it, full body and colored

Pick a name

Submit drawing and name to the ask box

After 3 hours I'll put all applicants in a wheel and spin to decide who gets the chirrs

If any designs are left after rolling they become first come first serve for those off cooldown

24 hours after rolling any leftover designs will also be open to those on cooldown, resetting their cooldown timer

After adopting a chirr you gotta skip a batch to let newbies have more chances (subject to change)

Ownership

Once you get a chirr you own the design and can do whatever you want with it. I will never revoke designs from their owners for any reason, if shit goes down the design will be removed from the masterlist.

You're also free to trade and give them away as you like, just remember to let me know so I can adjust the masterlist!

I also ask you dont sell designs for real life money as im giving them away for free. I can't stop you but particularly egregious violations might get you banned from further adoptions
