So I finally read Wytches. The first few issues weren’t really grasping my interest but I wanted to read it because it was recommended by a regular at the Comic Spot. I usually dish out the recommendations, so I wanted to return the favor. I’m glad I decided to tough it out. Issue 3 started really kicking-it up a notch but then the last two issues, 5 and 6, well they were AWESOME. Which led me to a more recent issue, Wytches: Bad Egg. Apparently Bad Egg was compiled in the Image+ monthly Magazines setting up Volume 2 of the Wytches series. Well, I’m all in now. Those Sucklers got me. If you want a tone/vibe of the series the best comparison I can dredge up would be Stranger Things...instead of being in an upside down, the Wytches are harvested by a lineage of special people called “High Horns”...they reproduce only to feed their offspring to the Wytches when the kid is ripe 😂...Morbid yes but the symbolism is soooo deep. Anywho, if you like dark Stephen King inspired stories and phenomenal art; read it. Thanks for the Pledge James.
