CHLOE: Noooo!!!

CHLOE: Sarah’s panda-ear headband… she knew she couldn’t escape, so she set us free so we wouldn’t burn with… waahhh!!!

BLAZEBOB: I know, Chloe, but you and I, we have to move on and continue in honor of Team Panda-Halo.

CHLOE: You’re right… but I just can’t believe she’s really gone…

Flung from the inferno is Panda’s Mickey Mouse ears panda-ear headband from which she got her screen name. Her Pokemon immediately understand their circumstances and that their master is no more. Chloe is appropriately upset at the sudden death of her beloved trainer, but BlazeBob implores her to immediately move on and continue to fight in her honor. This incredibly quick to pick up the pieces attitude that BlazeBob and later the fireman show is, in addition to Chris’s own difficulty processing grief, a reflection of how long it took Chris to memorialize Panda in his comic. By the time Chris was writing this comic, more than a half a year had passed since Panda’s alleged “death”, and Chris not only had already moved on from her, but he’d already had another girlfriend fatality in Ivy’s alleged suicide in May of 2009. With his three gal-pals that allegedly died (Sarah Jackson, Panda, and Ivy) he felt more a bit of an obligation to memorialize them, regardless of how far down the line he did it, as opposed to simply forgetting they ever existed like Blanca. Note that in the memorial at the bottom, Chris doesn’t call Panda a sweetheart or a girlfriend, but rather a good friend and a Sonichu fan. Even in “death”, her betrayal stung hard enough for Chris to not call her a sweetheart.

FIREMAN: Hey! What are you two doing?

CHLOE: Excuse me!

FIREMAN: That S.A.V. just burned down that building behind you! Mayor Christian did not just appoint all you Electric-Hedgehogs to help defend the city just so y’all can stand idly by and gossip during the chaos!

CHLOE: I think you’re mistaken; we’re not from around here; we were visiting from…

BLAZEBOB: Please pardon our momentary lack of action; our friend was in that building. She will be sadly missed, but we two shall continue to defend the city.

FIREMAN: Thank you. Alright, Gus, Cindy, Tina, let’s get those hoses hooked up, ladders set-up, and save some lives and put out the flames!

CHLOE: Blazebob… what…?

BLAZEBOB: Chloe, that bot just killed Sarah; we can do good for her by aiding the city and taking down that robot before other people suffer the same fate, like our master. What do you say, Chloe? Go, Team Panda-halo!

CHLOE: Alright. Go! Team Panda-halo!

In one of the starkest displays of lack of empathy in the entire comic, a firefighter sees the two grieving EHPs and berates them for doing nothing to help the effort. Apparently the firefighter mistook the two of them for EHPs in Christian’s personal squad (although we’re given no indication that there are more EHPs than Sonichu, Rosechu, the Chaotic Combo, Darkbind, Simonla, Jamsta, Lolisa, and Zapina working for the mayorship, and given that they’re all presumably public figures that this guy would know what Chris’s EHP attack squad would look like. What’s more, the only other known Fire/Electric-Type Sonichu that this guy could presumably mistake BlazeBob for is Wes Iseli, who works for the bad guys, and at this point Sonichu’s daughter Christine is still a Rosey, so it’s not like this guy was mistaking them for other EHPs.)

BlazeBob and Chloe clarify that they aren’t CWCvillian, rather Australian, and that they don’t work for Christian Chandler. BlazeBob, however, decides to fight under the banner of CWC nevertheless, since the thing that killed his trainer was of an anti-Chandlerian faction and that fighting against it would avenge his master. This still doesn’t explain though why he would think that fighting for Christian, who remind you has his own agenda beyond just “fight Mary Lee Walsh”, is the answer. You’d think that he and Chloe would be a bit more mercenary-like in this case, since they in theory have no ties to Chris personally and just want to join whatever side will help them avenge their fallen friend. But no, anyone considered “good” in the eyes of Chris-Chan has to fight for him, so BlazeBob and Chloe join up with him.

Barely visible in Chloe’s portrait at the top of the stage are two black dots behind her ears, possibly meaning that she’s taken up the panda-ear headband in Sarah’s honor.

In that final image there, BlazeBob and Chloe have giant hands for some reason.

This more or less marks the end of BlazeBob and Chloe’s relevance to the greater Sonichu canon, and I believe this is the last time they’re given individual lines. They show up again among the ranks of the lesser Sonichu characters in melees in later issues, with no reason given that they’re still out to avenge their master, even fighting against forces completely unrelated to their master’s demise.

BLAZEBOB SONICHU: Okay! I’m ready for this batt… what the…? What’s going on here?!

CHLOE ROSECHU: I don’t know, Blaze Bob, but I have a bad feeling… wait a minute… where’s our master? Sarah?

BLAZEBOB: Huh? I smell smoke… Our apartment! Sarah!!!

CHLOE: Oh my God! Sarah!!!

Here is the first proper introduction to Panda’s two EHP creations, BlazeBob Sonichu (no, there’s no consensus as to whether it’s one word, Blazebob, one word with CamelCase, BlazeBob, or two words, Blaze Bob; Chris tends to prefer “Blazebob” but he’s not consistent; I’m going to stick with “BlazeBob” because it makes the most sense to me) and Chloe Rosechu. I do believe that these were the only troll girlfriend characters to have been Electric Hedgehog Pokemon, at least until Cryzel.

BlazeBob was actually named for Robert Simmons V, the troll who appeared in the flesh all the way back in Sonichu 7. He was also fairly strongly linked with Pandahalo, and in fact the character was initially conceptualized as being an Anchuent Prophecy transformation not unlike Chris, Sarah Hammer, Wes, Crystal, Nait, and soon enough Liquid Chris have. Like Wes Iseli-Sonichu, BlazeBob is a Fire/Electric-Type Sonichu. Interestingly, he is given the ability Blaze, the signature ability of the Fire-Type starter Pokemon. Wild is said to have Overgrow, the equivalent for the Grass-Type starters, yet Bubbles doesn’t have Torrent, the ability for the Water-Type starters (instead she has Volt Absorb, which, come to think about it, probably explains why she was aroused by getting shocked last issue). Chris has suggested that a Sonee can evolve into a Fire/Electric Sonichu like BlazeBob with the help of a Fire Stone, similarly to how Eevee evolves into Flareon. Since neither Chris nor Panda had any interest in drawing BlazeBob or Chloe in the nude, the latter is still underage and the former is barely legal.

Chloe is described as Normal/Electric-Type with the ability Serene Grace. She is purple and pink, a color combination we’ve yet to see on an EHP so far. Sonichu’s daughter Christine is introduced later this chapter as an Electric-Type Shiny Rosechu, meaning it’s possible that Chloe too is shiny, although she is released from a Pokeball here without a special entry animation unlike true Shinies. Her name is likely a reference to Chris’s fake girlfriend of the same name, the only time Chris has flat out lied about having a girlfriend. Shortly after Blanca broke his heart, Chris claimed to have made out with this girl Chloe after meeting her at GameStop. There obviously was no Chloe, and he dropped the ruse shortly after. Chris has stated that Chloe evolved with the help of a Moon Stone, though unlike BlazeBob Chloe resembles none of the Pokemon families that evolve with a Moon Stone.

BlazeBob and Chloe, presumably used to only being let out of their balls to battle, express confusion as to their current location, but quickly deduce that their apartment is burning behind them.
