Text: Have you tried reaching out to him? My brother can be an ass, but he's still my brother.

[text] Yeah, a couple times. We're not...we don't fight or anything. It's not that we hate each other. It's just that we don't have a lot in common anymore. Things got harder after my husband died. Andy never got to go to wedding, didn't know how to react to the funeral...it's just hard to talk to him now.

Text: Sorry about that. I didn't give him a chance to not be there for me. I was the one stuck in New York with the drunk father so... yeah. I needed some sort of male influence in my life telling me when I was doing something stupid. So I told him everything.

[text] That's never a good thing. I got lucky. The shitty parent took off and I got the good one, but Andy never really...reached out. He threw himself into religion and turned to a god that I've never believed in and we've been distant ever since. I miss him but there's not much I can do about it.

Text: For the most part, yeah. We have our squabbles like any siblings but he's one of my best friends. Our parents were always fighting, then they divorced and we talked on the phone every day because we were like all each other had, y'know?

[text] You're really lucky, you know. My parents divorced when I was 5, my mom ran out and took Andy with her. We weren't really able to keep in contact, he didn't get to come to my wedding, whole nine yards. But I get that.
