New au alert!!

I'm still figuring stuff out, but basically, Alya, Chloe, and Juleka switch the cat miraculous between each other "it's my turn with the xbox" style. and they all have a huge crush on Ladybug. and each other.

I've been calling it just "3 cat swaps au" so far, I haven't really been able to think of a good name lol

What are Marinette's, Fu's and Paris's thoughts on the cat trio?

Marinette was so confused lmao. I think she was a bit angry, because they clearly didn't have a system at first. Also, she's not allowed to tell anyone about Tikki, but these three can switch with each other like it's nothing.

After she got used to it, and the situation got explained to her, she's only really confused when no one shows up to the battle lol. Overall, though, she loves them all (yes, even cat!Chloe. Marinette isn't too happy about it, but she gets the job done the fastest and she's also funny sometimes, and also very pretty. shut up.). They're the only ones who understand her. They're her partners :D

They all have different qualities that she appreciates, like cat!Alya's insistence on helping everyone, her optimism and support. Cat!Chloe's ability to take over the situation (akuma and the press, especially the press lol). Cat!Juleka's calmness, even in the worst situations, her ability to listen. goddamit i love them so much aaa

I kinda forgot about Fu lmao. mostly because Plagg was a wandering kwami in my other au, but whtvr. BUt Fu did send out Plagg in this one. And he was very very confused. Especially because so was Tikki, and he relied on her a lot. No one had any idea what was happening and Plagg's vague answers didn't clear things up, they honestly made things messier. However, Fu doesn't involve himself with the holders until he knows he can trust them and they're reliable, and he knows that the trio is very untrustworthy. He wasn't even thinking about trying to solve the situation himself, because it would be too risky for him to show up.

The public was also confused. The situation settled down after a while tho, I imagine people now take bets on which cat will show up at the next battle lol. Ladybug is the favorite ofc, she shows up to every battle and also fixes stuff(now that I mention it, I'm unsure whether to also give the cat the Cure/just use my kwami system)

I think cat!Alya is the cat with the best reputation. Like there's not much negative stuff about her, because she really hasn't done anything. The biggest hit to her reputation was when cat!Chloe bashed her a bit, before they figured out the switching, but now things are chill between them. She's very sweet. Both on camera and in person.

Cat!Juleka is the closest one to negative rep.. or like, people are kinda unsure what to think of her. She's the most in the shadows, she doesn't really talk to the cameras. She also loves giving death stares to journalists. Cataclysm is her solution for every problem and people have a hard time telling whether she's serious about it or not hehe

Cat!Chloe... Some people love her, some hate her. She's a celebrity, and she knows it. Her influence is pretty big, she talks to the reporters so much. But she was pretty disliked at the start. Both from confusion and uncertainty about the entire situation with akumas and Cataclysm. And also the Ladyblog was lowkey doing a smear campaign against her lmao. But I think her being the first to hold the cat gives her some credibility in the public's eye? While she has the least control over Cataclysm, she looks incredibly confident while using it, so people don't even realize things didn't go the way she planned.

There are probably some people who think the trio are one person xd

Various dunks:

Alya: sputters and is confused but puts two and two together quickly. She laughs and promises to cool it while they help her out.

Marinette: Almost drowns in 3" of water. The girls organize a watch if she ever tries to take a bath instead of a shower again.

Chloé: gets thrown, twists in the air, lands on the edge of the fountain while two of her 'attackers' fall in creating a photogenic spray of water behind her. Several people are inexplicably already taking pictures of the fountain at that moment, flashes pop off.

Juleka: *exudes an air of quiet menace while everyone else tries egging each other on to 'grab her first'* no one does.

Pretty much from the start xd. Alya immediately gains massive admiration for Ladybug (and a bit for Chloe, much to her dismay), which then turns into a full-blown crush. we're also going to ignore how she keeps thinking about Marinette. Alya is trying to ignore it too

Chloe's always had a thing for her rivals apparently, so when Ladybug and Alya become her main rivals (with Marinette being demoted to 2nd place) ofc she will angrily think about kissing them under the moonlight.

Juleka mostly watched from the sidelines and honestly ignored Alya and Chloe at the start (though she does think they're pretty cool), so she's mostly crushing on Ladybug (badass who can kick ass) and Marinette (her adorable friend who makes her feel so so much better). Then she enters the scene as Panthera and everyone is smitten (especially Ladybug) (that was a lot of parentheses)

Marinette starts developing feelings for Alya as soon as the Ladyblog starts. Then Empuress starts living in her head rent-free until Panthera appears

Do Juleka and Chloé ever just pick Alya up and drop her in a fountain(with love)?

I could see her as the organize/mom/gogogo of the group and she's often *right*, the other two do drag their feet about stuff, but now and then you need to douse a loved one to get them to cool it.

I think Alya and Juleka would attempt to do it to Chloe too, but it would never work out. Chloe is way too flexible and athletic for them, she'd always manage to slip out of their grip

But it would very much work with Marinette !! They don't do it after she manages to almost drown the first time though xd
