AuRaAugust Day11: Mount

Iskander was a chocobo with pumpkin orange feathers and a feisty personality. Mizuki had raised him from a hatchling. Named him after a great adventurer from a story book she had borrowed from the library. Back then to stop her leaving he would bite the bottom of her robes or sit on her boots. Now he was fully grown he would grab her hair or nudge her face.

Once Mizuki had introduced barding to the chocobo, Iskander would stand proudly in the chosen armour and flutter his wings so all would pay him attention. His favourite barding was the eerie barding to match Mizuki’s outfit and when he was running around Coerthas the Ishgard barding he liked to show off like a knight, parading around and standing to attention at other knights.

Iskander wasn’t just a mount, he was a dear friend and companion in her long journey’s, oft had she given up her last gil to make sure he was taken care of after a tiring journey, it was only right after he bore her for such great distances.

I had a lot of gathering yellow scrips and no idea what to use them for I saw this barding for trade and now my chocobo can be protected from the rain :P

So, I decided I needed to make up with Pozhar after riding around with her in raingear for a week or two, lol.

I made her Ice Barding

I think she’s much happier with such pretty gear (I really need to stable her and try to change her color, even though I rather like the default color.)

I really want to make her the Titania barding, but damn, you need a very expensive feather to make it, lol. Even if I got one as a drop, I’d probably guilt myself into selling it on the market :D
