Being in Sector 3 was by no means ideal, but it was necessary if he wanted to visit his new acquaintance. She was the one of the few people that Kirk had been able to converse with in his few short days in Hive City. On a whim he had decided that before returning to his own sector, he would do some exploring. He had briefly been informed of District Gamma, and without heeding warning, had decided to take matters into his own hands and explore it regardless.
Perhaps he should have paid more heed to the murmurings of outages on the surface.
It hadn't been long before he had decided that he wanted to return not only to the surface, but to his own sector as well. There seemed to be hardly a soul around, and the dilapidated buildings held no comfort. The air was thick with ubiquitous fog, and the Captain began to wonder if he was the only one around this forsaken district.
When he spotted a silhouette, it was bittersweet. On one hand it was a relief to know that he might be able to get help up to the surface. On the other hand, the crime on the surface had been so distressing that he wasn’t sure what kind of person would roam around down here.
He jogged quietly to the figure, slowing as he approached. His hand was rested on his BB gun, though he doubted it would be much true protection if he were to get in a bad situation.
“Uh, excuse me?” he piped up, breaking disquieting ambiance of the sector.
“Sorry to bug you. Do you think you could show me how to get back to the surface?”
