"First, there’s an escaped lunatic on the loose. And now we’re out of gas in the middle of nowhere. I know it’s Halloween, but seriously, how cliché can you get?”
Jon and Sansa have been broken up for a year. A chance drunk dial brings them back together on Halloween night. But then a series of unfortunate events brings them face to face with their worst nightmares. Can they face their fears head on, or will they be too afraid?
when you get this you have to answer with 5 things you like about yourself, publicly. then, send this ask to 10 of your favorite followers (non-negotiable, positivity is cool!!)
Thank you for the ask! I’m not good at complimenting myself, but here goes:
1) I’m a bunch of “recessive” genes that decided to be phenotypes, a unicorn if you will (red hair, blue eyes, even my blood type: o neg). A rebel from the start. Not really, they’re actually dominant in my fam. Even one of my cats is a ginger. My husband jokes he’s outnumbered.
2) I’m very kind, and compassionate. I love helping people.
3) I’m proud of myself for getting through nursing school, licensing, and certifications since then. I tend to focus on what I haven’t accomplished, instead of what I have. I need to remind myself.
4) Jack told me once that he’s really glad I’m his aunt, and that has just stuck with me. I love what I’ve done for that kid, and I love him. I love taking care of my kiddos, and seeing them grow.
5) I taught myself how to play the piano from YouTube videos. I dig music, and I dig that about myself.

Happy 24th anniversary to the song It’s All Coming Back to Me Now!
I sang this song (which was released today almost a quarter-century ago, per the random factoid I saw on the internet today) atop many a table/chair/couch in college and also name checked it in my Grosse Pointe Blank-inspired jonsa fic: Easy Target.
@chocolateghost, I need to catch up on my Quarantunes, but is Celine Dion in your repertoire?
But in Jon's heart, everything was perfect. Sansa was his own personal ray of sunshine. She had bewitched him with her words, making him fall in love with rusty black ink on yellowed paper. He found her there in the delicate loops of her cursive. She was there in the dots of the I's and the crosses of the T's. Every time he reread her letters, he discovered something new to cherish.
Maybe he was a fool, after all.
A fool in love...
This absolutely stunning work of art by the inimitable @chocolateghost is more than a breezy spring read—it is a forever favourite of mine. Paper, ink, a teeny, tiny bit of magic; it will enchant, spellbind, and delight you in equal measure.
For @chocolateghost. Another morsel of this story (not the whole thing yet) because I had Tangled Up In Blue on repeat today and this was the result.
Modern AU in which Jon in a struggling singer/songwriter who meets Sansa when she is still married but has realized her marriage is over. They share one intense memorable night, then a few years later, he is a successful recording artist who is always getting asked about the girl his most famous song is about. Inspired by some of the many, many lyrics of Bob Dylan’s Tangled Up In Blue. Is this an AU in which Jon Snow wrote one of the best songs of all time? Yes, yes it is.
Read the original drabble
“So Jon, I know you hate talking about this, and I can see your manager over there shooting daggers at me, but I have to ask about the song. The fans will storm the studio if I don’t ask about the song, so I gotta ask about the song.”
Jon chuckled. Looking over at Gilly, standing on the other side of the glass that separated the green room from the recording studio, she was merely rolling her eyes. They were both used to this song and dance.
"Actually, I shouldn’t even say song,” the radio host continued. “Because what we really want to know—what the fans really what to know is about the girl. You know there is an actual fansite called ‘Find Tangled Up in Blue?’ ”
Jon laughed. “Yes, I’m familiar with it.”
“So you’ve read it?”
“Yes.”
“Have you submitted a theory?”
He laughed again. “No, no I haven’t.”
“Are any of the posted theories close?”
“They are quite fun to read. The band all have their favorites, but no, none of them are remotely close.”
“Well, Jon, you could just end the mystery right here, right now.”
“It’s not really a mystery—I mean, contrary to popular belief, the song is not about just one person.”
“You’ve said that before, but you’ve also said that someone inspired it. You’re not ready to tell us who that is?”
He sighed. “I met someone once, very briefly, just one night actually, but it . . . um, it shifted my perspective, you could say. And having not slept the entire night, I spent the whole next day basically vomiting out this song, not really thinking that it would be any different from any other song I’d written.”
“But it was! It was a great effing song!”
“Yeah, it ended up changing my life. It didn’t happen over night, but I can easily trace it back to that night. I haven’t seen the person since, but I know what the internet can do to people so I’d rather just leave it at that and not turn her life upside down, wherever she is.”
“OK, be real here. Was it a Starbucks barista?’
Jon laughed, glad for the reprieve. If nothing else, the host was good at keeping guests at ease. “Not quite.”
“Hey, man. You laugh but when they hand me that venti iced Americano in the morning, I’m ready to propose marriage.”
“I’m more of a tea guy.”
“You heard it here first, folks. Jon Snow prefers tea. Let me guess, black?”
“Actually, I like a bit of milk in it,” he replied with a chuckle.
“You’re just full of surprises today. OK, so this mystery girl hasn’t reached out to you? I mean, you’re not that hard to find these days. Maybe she’s been to one of your shows.”
“I kind of doubt it, but I suppose it’s possible.”
“Maybe she’s listening right now. What would you say to her?”
