I have a fix for the anonymous person who was having trouble placing the Lobster Dock in Isla Paradiso! I have uploaded an IP version of the lot below, but I've also written out instructions for anyone else who might be having this issue.
I'd like to give a HUGE thank you to choco-lette for instructions on how to do this! (Their instructions called for using the CFE cheat, but I found that I didn't need it, so I left it out.) And thank you to the anon who brought this my attention so we could find a fix! :)
First you will want to find a gently sloping lot. It's OK if it's larger than 30x30, as we can move it around if need be (and in fact, it might work better if it's a bit larger). For Isla Paradiso, I chose 33 Surf Circle.
In Edit Town, "control+shift+C" to bring up the cheat window.
Type "setimportedterrainoffset 3.8" (you may need to do "testingcheatsenabled true" first)
Place the lot but don't press "Accept" yet. If the lot is larger than 30x30, you may need to use the lot placement arrows in the lower right hand corner to make sure the lot bumps up against the road. Once the lot is against the road, see if it needs to be lowered or raised (you want the lot to be level with the road). If it still needs adjusting, click on "cancel" to go back to Edit Town. Use the "setimportedterrainoffset [value]" cheat again to make your adjustments. You may need to do this a few times, raising and lowering the value, until you have everything lined up. Once everything looks good, click "Accept" upon placing the lot.
Make sure you type "setimportedterrainoffset 0" when you're done to set the terrain offset value back to normal.
From Edit Town, click on the lot to edit it. You may see some sharp edges around the lot where it doesn't match the slope of the original (see second pic). Go to Terrain Tools and select the "Soften Terrain" tool. I choose the medium or large circular brush and move the slider all the way to the right, but you can experiment and do whatever works best. Use this to soften the sharp edges and smooth out the terrain around the lot (third pic).
You may also want to add Terrain Paints or landscaping to make the lot blend in with its surroundings.
I have uploaded the Isla Paradiso version of the lot which you see in the pictures above. It will work best at 33 Surf Circle (you will have to change the lot type to Community before placing). The lot size is 35 x 45, so it's a bit larger than the original. But if you are having trouble placing the original lot in another world, you could try this one.
