Nugu GG of the Week #344 : Choi Cello

Yes I know this is nugu GG but it's my blog I'm slipping in a solo girl who's never been in a GG, she did participate in some idol contest show, Stars Awakening which debuted n.sign (?), some boy group, so technically she could've been a in girl group 🤔 soooooo she gets a post 💖

Unlike a previous NGGotW solo sneak with Moon Jieun (y'all still streaming Hibiye Hibiyo?) who was under Starship a big named company she is a indie singer under a small company. I don't know much about her personally just the music.

Choi Cello (born 1996) is an indie singer with a R&B vibe, so all her songs are very chill and mellow. She does write, compose and play the guitar for all her songs. She debuted in 2020 and has since released 13 songs, no album releases. Vocally she's a mix of Baek Yerin and Lim Kim, she has a very delicate voice but she also does the whisper singing as well.

Since this is a one-off I included 3 of her songs.

Hide & Seek, was the first song of hers I've heard so included it because it made me interested in her music, super mellow and chill, the hook can be repetitive but I don't mind it.

Why, released last year and one of my favorites in her discography, I like the use of the theremin (?) or synth whatever it is prevalent in the song, also her longest song in her discography.

Domino, her songs are mellow but she has some pep in her step with this one, basically she ended Mr. Shawn "I need stitches" Mendes with this one 🤔

So if you want some chill music playing in the background I highly recommend Choi Cello !
