Tesse's point of view
After completing her rounds for the morning, and instead of going to the cafeteria for lunch, Tesse made her way to the surgical waiting room and took a seat there. She was fidgeting with her fingers which is a huge tell when she's nervous. She really liked Leah, the little girl. She was one of the sweetest kids she ever met, she even made Tesse a bracelet in the days leading up to her surgery.
The young resident knew she's being nervous for no reason. After all, her surgery wasn't that complicated and Dr. Tanaka was one of the best surgeons in Edenbrook. And as much as she hates to admit it, Bryce was the most fitted surgical resident to assist on the little girl's surgery. But Tesse couldn't help herself, she's always like this when it comes to her young patients.
After fifteen minutes, Tesse checked her watch. It was already thirty minutes later than when they were supposed to be done. Just then, the door to the operation room opened, and out came Bryce with a very much smiling Melanie by his side.
"So, I'll see you later?" Melanie said in a very flirty way.
"You got it, babe."
Bryce replied before dropping a kiss on her cheek and sending a wink her way before she turned around and left, brushing her fingertips on his bicep as she went.
Tesse watched from afar before making her way to Bryce when Melanie was out of sight.
"So, how did it go?" She asked in a very professional way.
"It went good. No surprises there, since I was assisting." He responded with a cheeky smirk on his face.
Her question answered and not wanting to stand there while he gloats, Tesse turned around intending to go to the cafeteria in hopes that she will have enough time to get lunch. But before she could make it two steps away, she felt a hand on her wrist tugging her back.
"Tesse, I want to talk about yesterday..." Bryce said.
"I really don't think there is anything more to say." She said while still keeping her back turned to him.
"I just wanted to say that I stand by what I said." He said, his hand loosening from around hers.
"And I do too." She said, turning around to give him a brief glance back before making her way to the cafeteria.
It was two hours before the end of her shift, Tesse looked around for a nurse to get her a suture kit to suture up a teenager' forehead that fell from his bike. Seeing that no one was available, Tesse decided to go to the supply closet herself. Upon making it there, Tesse heard voices coming from inside and not a second later, the door opened to reveal a very disheveled Melanie, lipstick smeared on the sides of her mouth, a hair that resembles a nest and a very deep blush on her cheeks. Behind her stood Bryce, who upon seeing Tesse on the other side of the door felt a panic rising in his chest which Tesse didn't notice while looking at the state he was in. Disheveled scrubs and hair a mess. She then lifted her eyes to look at his face but instead of seeing any trace of nervousness, Tesse was blinded by his infamous smirk, or maybe it was the tears she was trying to hold in.
"Hey, Tesse."
He said in an unfazed way before following Melanie, who left probably because she couldn't look Tesse in the eyes in the state she was in, and put his arm around her waist before making their way to god knows where.
Tesse stayed rooted to her spot, watching them until their forms disappeared. And then she went inside the closet and slammed the door behind her. She completely forgot about the patient for whom she came to get the supplies and instead crouched down against a wall and let all her feelings come out in a form of tears and sobs.
What hurt Tesse more than anything wasn't the fact that Bryce and Melanie already took that step in their relationship. After all, they said that they were getting more serious by the day. But what hurt her more was the fact that they did whatever they did in this particular closet. Some would think that is stupid but to her, it wasn't. Because this is where they had their first kiss and where, In a way, their relationship started. And by Bryce bringing Melanie in here, it was like he was replacing their memories with ones he and Melanie made. And therefore replacing her with Melanie, which she didn't accept until now, no matter what she kept telling herself before.
After a good while of crying, Tesse picked herself up and wiped her tears with the sleeves of her shirt, remembering that she had a job to do. A job she can't let her personal life get in the way of. And that she had a life to live. A life Bryce Lahela had no part of anymore.
A/N: hi, again. I know there wasn't a lot going on on this part but I still hope you liked it. Anyways, like usual I would really appreciate it if you like, comment or reblog. And if you want me to start tagging you, please tell me.

First steps
Pairing: Bryce × f!MC (Tesse Sterling)
Author's note: So this one is like any other fic of mine. I get an idea, I write it. So I hope you like it. (Gif not mine)
Tesse was in the kitchen preparing a peache's puree while listening to the songs of the kids channel and clapping coming from the living room. Her ten month old, Alex, really liked this recipe when she introduced it to him about a couple months ago. Unlike the bean's and avocado's purees, that ended up all over her clothes, his and the high chair whenever she tried giving them to him, this one seemed to actually stay in his stomach.
She was just getting the food out of the blunder and into a little bowl, when she heard an excited squeal coming from behind her. She turned around thinking it was Bryce bringing their son for dinner, but what she saw made her heart almost leap from her chest. It was just Alex with no Bryce in sight, standing with his little hands supporting him on the wall, while giving her the biggest smile she has ever seen. She couldn't believe her eyes. This was his first time walking without her help. Granted, he was using the wall. But for him to make it from the living room to the kitchen on his own, that is big.
"Bryce, get your butt in here." She shouted, barely keeping the excitement from her voice.
"What?... woooow.." Bryce said after turning from the hallway of their bedroom, seeing his son standing all in his own.
"He made it here by himself." Said Tesse, a big smile shinning from her face.
"We have to take a picture of him." Replied Bryce before making his way to the couch to get his phone with a bounce in his step.
After a few pictures with Alex being the perfect model with his adorable face, Bryce addressed his wife in an impressed tone.
"I can't believe he walked first."
That's when Alexander turned back to his mother, noticing the familiar bowl sitting neglected in her hand for the first time after the excitement of his achievement calmed down. Being too impatient to walk all the way there, he flopped down and crawled his way over to her. Tesse picked him up then before sitting on the table to reward him with his favorite food.
"Yeah well, now you have to pay up." She said.
You see, Bryce and Tesse had a bet going on. And that each one of them is going to teach Alex something. Tesse taking care of walking and Bryce talking. And whoever loses has to take care of Alex whenever he wakes up at night.
"Fine, I'm too happy right now to think about that." Bryce responded instantly.
"Think we should set another bet?" Tesse said teasingly.
"Alright. But this time, I'm winning."
The end
A/N: Hii, hope you enjoyed reading this one. And btw, I've been thinking of opening requests, so if you think I should, tell me.
