love small coincidences cause sometimes they feel like you summoned something without meaning to. last year I had told my friends that I'd like it if sanrio made a chinchilla character and now chokochilla exists. cute and pink, both are things I like dkfkfkkkfkf

HappilinaFriends: the up-and-coming Sanrio characters you can vote for in this year's character ranking

For the 2026 Sanrio Character Ranking, fans can now hand awards to some new Sanrio characters in their own category, based on which characters you'd like to be friends with, which ones you'd like to collect merch of, and which ones have the best lore in your opinion. I wanted to make a post about them to help spread awareness that they exist, and just to appreciate them because they're all so adorable. 💖

The characters are as follows:

Onegaimashu is a bear-like fairy who grants wishes.

Chokochilla is a chinchilla who turned pink because she loves eating strawberries.

Kawaii Sprinkles are a team of unicorns who bring small, everyday joys into your life. Individually, they are named Fujimuu, Ruly and Haru.

Chouchoumagirouge is a girl who can transform into various animals with help from her magic makeup kit.

Nemrytale are sleepy, animal-like fairies who are made of bed stuffing. The characters in the image are NemuNemu (the bigger cat-like fairy) and Shippo (the smaller fairy).

Grumpynivee is a bunny who looks grumpy, but really she's just shy.

PowaPowaPowari is a mysterious being who looks a bit like both a dog and a cat.

Nyamnyamnew is a cat who can transform into whatever she wants by chanting her name and encourages people to follow their dreams.

Luna & Oliver are a pair of twin ogres/oni who adore Harajuku fashion and have an eye for style. Luna is the pink girl ogre and Oliver is the yellow boy ogre.

Rukarundecor is a dolphin who loves to decorate things and does so with a piping bag full of mysterious magical cream. He lives in an underwater land called Decorun Town.

If you ask me, my favorites are Kawaii Sprinkles, Luna & Oliver, and Rukarundecor. I do also like Chouchoumagirouge and Nyamnyamnew for their magical girl gimmicks.
