Okay, for the record, going forward, if the “send me a character” meme has more than a few things I’ll say, one character per ask por favor.

Caroline Forbes

How I feel about this character: I love her. She is beautiful and strong and caring and kind, she is passionate and she fights, and she is allowed to be upset, happy, angry, righteous, a hypocrite, right, wrong, dark, light - she explores everything, and unlike with a lot of other characters like this, she’s truly written in all the ways, from all the angles. She’s alive, she’s bright, she’s... I don’t even have the words.

All the people I ship romantically with this character Stefan and (in a trashy way) Damon

My non-romantic OTP for this character I like her slow ‘enemies to frenemies to family’ dynamic with Damon over the course of the show, even in a non-shippy sense.

My unpopular opinion about this character 90% of her interactions with Klaus that Klaroline fans read as romantic are not even close to her being romantic, and are her either manipulating him, being disgusted with herself or 

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon. Stefan not dying and her having a happy ending with him. Also, her being a main character on Legacies.

All the people I ship romantically with this character Lex, vaguely?

My non-romantic OTP for this character She’s got a surprisingly decent dynamic with Clark when they aren’t doing a stupid romantic tango. Also, I like her with Lex.

My unpopular opinion about this character Stop being romantically interested in Clark?

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon. Uhm… I want her to get over with Clark *before* she gets with Oliver (I know Chole x Oliver is a thing eventually thanks to spoilers from well before I watched the show)

Cordelia Chase

How I feel about this character: I love her blunt tactlessness, her drive for good, her ambition, her unwillingness to give up (though she gets close), her strong sense of self... also, she can be kind of a bitch, in good and bad ways, and her strong sense of self and her tactless honesty turn her into a sometimes very cruel and arrogant woman

My non-romantic OTP for this character Wesley, Gunn, Angel (not that I have direct issue with Cangel, just not my thing)

My unpopular opinion about this character Cangel was good? She wasn’t ‘assassinated’ in the later parts of season 3? She wouldn’t have fit into Season 5 at all? any of the above

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon. Xandelia getting back together? An entirely different plot for the show (and thus her) in Seasons 4 and 5?

when I watched the season 3 finale for the first time as a kid I lost my damn mind because it has Chole and Lex apparently dying and then some vague Lionel fourth wall break but now on my millionth rewatch my reaction is mostly “wow Lex you had to be so Extra you had to purposely fall onto a glass table, couldn’t just be poisoned. Had to go that extra mile”

Three episodes in the can, and I know the following three things about Smallville:

I like it. It’s a bit dated, being something that came out in 2001, and it’s painfully high school, but I like it.

Chole Sullivan is awesome, but we need to see more of her

Lex Luthor, at the moment, seems like a well-intentioned, somewhat friendless, snarky partial jackass with daddy issues. So... basically, he’s the kind of character I almost always glom onto. Aaaaaand I kind of have already glommed onto him. I hope he doesn’t become a villain in Smallville (I mean, in the comics isn’t it usually canon that he and Clark are friends for a while in metropolis before Lex goes evil? So fingers crossed?)

Since you and I both love Caroline and Chloe, I was wondering if you think they'd get along? I would have loved to see a TVD/Smallville crossover - it would be fun to see Damon making fun of everything alongside Lex and Lana and Elena realizing they're essentially the exact same bland, generic "heroine" ;)

Well, I doubt Elena and Lana would have that revelation, but Damon and Lex teamup sounds great. :P

EDIT: and the damn thing posted faster than planned.

Anyway, yes, I can see Chole and Caroline getting along. They don’t really have any super-clashing personality traits, though depending on if Chole knows that Caroline is a vampire or not, Chole’s “I must know everything” schtick could cause issues.

But both are pretty upbeat, righteous people, without being too self-righteous about it (though Chole can edge pretty close to it, but so can Caroline), and face the challenges of the world, usually, with a smile, but not always. They face adversity - they're very similar, and not in clashing ways either. They’re vibrant and spunky and very much direct sorts of people, on most issues. So I think they’d do quite well together as friends.
