A huge week on the new #Triumph Explorer 1200, a huge step forward into the adventure-touring segment by Triumph. Real off-road ability saw it pass every test with flying colours across the harsh terrain of the Australian outback. Beaches, rivers, rocks and roost. Equipped with electronic semi active WP suspension, five active rider modes, versatile lean angle ABS and traction control, all delivered through a refined ride-by-wire throttle, and it is that new smooth throttle response that has gone a long way to adding that off-road ability to the Explorer. It certainly proved itself to be very sturdy with no technical gremlins or failures in what was a huge test for a model not really focussed at serious off roading. With a push-button adjustable windscreen, heated grips, heated seats, cruise control, hand guards, hill hold control and a range of protective accessories it certainly is the British burger with the lot. Our full report will follow in due course, but here is some image samples from our intrepid trek throughout #FNQ this week. #chooseepic (at Palm Cove)
