The Future: What does it hold for Christians?
Over the years things have changed dramatically. We now live in a world where same sex marriage and killing unborn babies is legal, and that's just two laws within a long list. Just think for a second and picture what the future will hold. Kim Davis is a perfect example of what the future holds for the children of God except our outcome will be most likely worse. The future scares me. The world is falling apart. As Christians we have a job to do for God but it's not going to be easy. We must put on our armor for God and continue our walk for him and continue spreading his word no matter what kind of times we are living in. Our nation is in trouble but they refuse to accept it. They are lead by false leaders and taught hate instead of love. They are taught persecution and are lied to and tricked by Satan daily. I pray often that God will give them the ability to know the difference between true and false prophets and the ability to know his love. His coming is soon and we must be ready. He is real and he is our God and he does love all of us greatly but if you do not accept Jesus as your savior and live a pleasing life for him you will perish and burn for eternity. Many people will read this and will say that it's not true and they will come up with comebacks for everything I have said. But I am not here to please anyone except God and I will stand with Jesus forever and ever. If I am persecuted, tortured or murdered I will still stand with Jesus because I am his and he is mine forever and ever amen. There is no greater love than the love of Jesus. While the world says different you must remember that they are tricked by the enemy and don't even know it. Pray for the world, pray for the people. Keep in mind always that his coming is soon, keep holding on, our reward comes sooner than we think.
John 7:38
Luke 12:30-40
“For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you. Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning; And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately. Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them. And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants. And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through. Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.”
1 Corinthians 1:10
My God, My Fortress
"I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust." - Psalms 91:2 KJV In times of trials we often want to flee to any shelter we can possibly find just to have relief of some sort. However, the world really doesn't hold any such thing. As a matter of fact it often seems that the harder we run is the more trouble we are faced with. Sometimes we forget that prayer is the greatest stress reliever available. It's our straight connection to God and God is our refuge and strength. In times of need, trouble and trials instead of fleeing to earthly things try fleeing to God. God can offer you such a great relief and a multitude of strength. We have all heard that prayer changes things and this is very true. Prayer makes such a difference in our everyday life's. Sometimes praying is most useful when we think we don't need to pray. Let prayer and the word of God be your daily bread. Let God be your fortress. Do not be ashamed to bow your head during the day and whisper a simple prayer. God asks that we talk to him and he is there to listen on the good days and bad days. He loves you and he offers his arms to keep you safe. Turn to God instead of the world for comfort. Let God be your refuge and fortress in your time of need. Let not the world trouble you, it's only temporary. But God, he is forever.
Memories
Sometimes my memories keep me awake at night. I have to pray it through until morning usually. I wish their was some type of pill you could take and it would erase everything bad from your past. People ask me why I never give up on God; my memories are my reminders of why I don't. I can remember it all so clearly, as if it was happening right now. I can feel his hands around my throat and hear myself begging for him to just let me come home. I also remember God, I remember the nights I lay beside that thing that was supposed to be a man and just prayed to make it through until morning without him raping me, beating me or trying to kill me. Each day as the light shown through the small window and touched my skin I was reminded of Gods love for me. He carried me through the fear and sadness. People often can't understand why I just can't forget, move on, let it go, just be normal. How can I be those things when my mind is so scarred. While my heart has been repaired and made new my mind still remembers, it wants to forget but it can't no matter how hard I try. As far as moving on, I have done the best that I can. God has carried me through, blessed me with a loving and amazing husband, and is preparing a life here on earth for me greater than I can imagine and even better than that, a home for me in heaven. Sometimes the bad things seem like they are so heavy but in reality Gods got this, he's always had it under control even when it seems so hopeless. I've been told that I should keep my story and problems to myself but I disagree. I know someone is out there right now feeling empty, hurt, abused, alone and scared. If you're feeling that way please remember I've been there and if you need to talk I'll listen and most importantly you have God. God is the best listener and your best friend when you feel all alone. NEVER let anyone or anything break you. God made you better than that, he made you stronger! Your story isn't over, it's just the beginning and everyone knows the good part of the story doesn't come until the end. Hang on, be strong, trust God and pray.
