Chopper One only lasting one season makes sense. There are only so many times Gil can fly his helicopter at people, rotors first, without actually killing someone and/or destroying the chopper.
A little time travel . . . Face in the mid 1970s . . .
(Dirk as officer and pilot Gil Foley in the television series Chopper One - 1974)
I accepted a dare from yours truly @slytherinocicat to make a Dirk Benedict lawman themed moodboard. This is what I came up with.
I hope you like it Gatz. 😊
//I found Chopper One on Crackle. In brief, it was a very short lived TV program from 1974, staring Dirk Benedict and Jim McMullan as California police officers who work out of a helicopter. It’s actually quite enjoyable.... .....but now I’ve fully accepted the mental headcanon that Gil Foley (Benedict’s character) is a decent, hard-working helicopter-piloting police officer in LA who deeply, utterly, and absolutely loathes Templeton Peck’s existence because everyone keeps mistaking him for Peck. Gil’s been stopped, harassed, and arrested by Colonel Lynch several times. He’s been yelled at by random strangers for stealing things/breaking into their buildings/conning them out of valuables, and he’s had a few women throw drinks in his face for vanishing/standing them up. None of which Gil has done, of course. There may have also been a time or two when a colossal mix-up occurred and he and Face accidently swapped places, so Gil found himself temporarily kidnapped by the A-Team. Needless to say, it’s a massive headache for the cop and Gil will heave a massive sigh of relief the day the A-Team is finally rounded up.
