And yet he’s not actually stupid at all?? He’s actually the voice of reason for Gaston and is not the villain in the slightest? Disney poorly named him, or whoever did, did so poorly, but in the live action he is far from a fool, let alone an abusive villain like you claimed.
I was talking about Gaston being abusive. I thought I had heard he had a thing for Gaston still and I was considering that an abusive portrayal. Also cool, but I still feel like it might’ve been better to make the Candlestick gay or something instead of him. I know it wasn’t malicious, but it seemed pretty ill thought out and more like they were digging for brownie points rather than they actually cared about a positive gay dude representation. I haven’t seen the movie, though.
