At first, chotto seems like a simple Japanese word. But it has 7 meanings, and they're all ambiguous! Learn how to use this word and clear up confusion.
ちょっと is one of the more useful and commonly used words in the Japanese language. Even if you're very new to Japanese, it's pretty likely you've come across ちょっと before, because it's short, simple, and easy to say.
But not all ちょっとs are alike. For example, two of ちょっと's meanings, "little" and "very," contradict one another.
If I combine ちょっと with a word like 難しい, meaning "difficult," it can mean either "a little difficult" or "very difficult."
That's a pretty significant change, don't you think?

Just wondering, *if* they ever localize SSL, will you play it? I've spoiled myself by reading a pretty comprehensive route summary (in English!) and... I have mixed feelings? Particularly in the dynamics of certain pairs (when EB made me at least consider them, only to remind me of *why* I'm not really keen on them in the first place). But then, it's pretty lighthearted and all that so I guess I'll try it for the sake of fun? If ever, hahaha
I’ll definitely play SSL if it gets localized. Just… for similar reasons to yours, re: character/ship dynamics, I can’t guarantee I’ll like it very much. Mostly, it’d just give me a good starting platform for any modern AUs I want to write, like… how everyone interacts with a modern-day environment, or something.
