To add onto my post about the impact on fnaf, I will now talk about how the series kept a grip on me even when I left the fandom because I have an excuse to talk about my OTP

So, I really like Foxy x Chica. I was an especially rabid fangirl for this ship back in 2015. But when I lost interest in fnaf, I legit thought I also lost interest in this pairing. But I realized now I never did.

While it was all ironic, I still wanted to make Foxy x Chica content. Those projects never saw the light of day or were even completed but the fact that I always wanted to make them shows just how much of an impact it has on me.

Even when I was in my cringe culture phase and acted like fnaf was the worst thing ever, I still loved this pairing deep down.

Then this year rolled along. I really didn't intend to get back into fnaf, especially with what came out about Scott Cawthon. But after watching these videos analyzing the game, especially the mechanics, I realized that I still loved the franchise and what it brought to the table when it came to horror.

So I got back into the game and said to myself "I am not gonna be the fnaf fan I used to be. I will appreciate the game as it is and animatronics as a whole. I am not gonna ship any of these characters anymore."

But then I said "Okay, maybe I'll hint at Foxy and Chica having a thing for each other as a throwback to my days of shipping them. But they'll never be an item."

But then I only sunk even deeper and went "Oh God... I still love this pairing... I thought I was better than this!"

Thankfully that phase was very short and now I'm like "So what if I ship the animatronic fox with the animatronic chicken? If it gives me the serotonin, that's all that matters."

“You got arrested.”

“Yes.”

“For arguing in Tesco?”

“…Yes.”

“Eggsy,” Roxy sighs, “you and Harry are supposed to be an example for the other Knights and recruits.”

“Hey!” Eggsy protests, “I didn’t do anything, Harry is the one who was complaining about product quality at Tesco.”

“And what, you got arrested for being quiet?” Roxy snorts, throwing on a jumper and searching for her trainers. Charlie peeks out from under the bed sheets, sleepy and grumpy, making an inquisitive noise as she grabs her car keys. 

“Have to go bail out Harry and Eggsy,” she explains softly, kissing his cheek and heading out while Charlie returned to sleep. She focuses on getting into her car and rolls her eyes when she overhears Eggsy and Harry bickering. “Hush up you two, I’m on my way.”

“Thanks Rox,” Eggsy sighs, looking sadly into the phone as the line goes dead.

“Roxanne is on her way?” Harry asks, laying down on the floor. The younger man stares down at his husband, rubbing his temples before sitting on the provided bed in the cell.

“She is, yes, though she’s probably gonna make us wait a bit since we woke her up so late.”

“I just wanted to go to Waitrose,” Harry mumbles under his breath and Eggsy throws his hands in the air.

“We were right by the Tesco! Waitrose would’ve been another eight minute ride on the Tube!”

“Nothing in our house is from Tesco!”

“Oh shut up! I found half the regular shite we use there! You’re not half as fancy as you try to appear Harry!”

“Oi, shut up you two,” the policeman outside their cell shouts and the couple wilt as the mood of their argument is shattered.

“I just want to impress you,” Harry admits, softly, many minutes later. Eggsy smiles, reaching down and linking fingers with his boyfriend.

“You ain’t gotta impress me anymore, Harry, I’m already a Kingsman.”

“Well, that’s adorable,” Roxy’s voice cuts in as they look up to see the Lancelot staring down at them. “Not adorable enough that I’m not pissed you woke me up at this hour.”

“You’re free to go,” the policeman says, unlocking the cell and letting them out.

“Thanks Rox.”

“Arthur will repay me with a full paid day at the spa,” Roxy insists.

“I will no- ow! Alright, yes, a spa day,” Harry agrees, rubbing his ribs where Eggsy elbowed him. “Thank you Lancelot.”

Roxy beams, all looking decided, but shoves them headfirst into the car she’d called for them from Kingsman.

“See you tomorrow!” she chirps, before taking off in her car. 

A full day at ESPA Life was worth it, she muses to herself, maybe she’d take Charlie with her.

I want a Foxy x Chica YouTube series that doesn't revolve around a love triangle with Mangle. I just want to see Foxy and Chica being a couple and getting into shenanigans together.

I'll probably make it myself.

I do plan on writing more Choxy! 

While I’m not sure about writing Choxy-centered fics, they will be a background couple in a bunch of my upcoming works and ficlets.
