Illegals from Ebola Countries at US Border?

Texas — In a media report from Valley Central‘s Nadia Galindo, a representative of the National Border Patrol Council (NBPC) stated that Liberian nationals were recently caught at the southern border to the US.

According to the article in 2013 alone, 231 Liberians, 145 from Sierra Leone, and 112 from Guinea were caught coming across into the United States. All of which are involved in the Ebola outbreak on a major scale. With well over 3,000 deaths from the virus, the danger to America is real.

While the statistics are difficult to find, another article from ABC mentioned that Gov Rick Perry of Texas was recommending that quarantine be issued at the Texas border.

Chris Cabrera, of the NBPC told Nadia that they had recently contacted illegals from Liberia.   He also stated that some agents had contracted such diseases as scabies from illegal immigrants.

Texas Governor takes action again

ABC news reported:

“Customs and Border Protection “should immediately be directed to conduct enhanced screening procedures, obtaining more information about people who are coming from affected areas,” and taking “appropriate steps,” which could be “something as simple as taking their temperature,” Perry said at a news conference.

The procedures “will also necessitate fully staffed, prepared quarantine stations wherever people are entering the country, ready to care for anyone whose screening turns up a concern, helping to prevent contagions from entering this country,” he said.

Perry  signed an Executive order called “Texas Task Force on Infectious Disease Preparedness and Response.” It is designed to improve planning for dealing with outbreaks such as Ebola, and stop the spread of diseases.

Meanwhile for US Airports

The government says it is looking into increased screening for airline passengers on the flights from Western Africa. The biggest blockage to the screenings is the fact that few flights actually come in directly from a West African nation. They usually come like Mr. Duncan’s flight- through other countries such as Belgium.

Which explains the reluctance to close off flights.

Liberal news media outlets are calling Conservatives “Xenophobic” for being concerned about the illegals flooding across the border. They seem to feel its all political. Never mind the real danger. That’s ok. Let them think that all is butterflies and roses. Until one of the thorns snags them with Ebola. Their tune will change and it will be too late.
