Autumn and Onwards...

The new season allows for more musical experiments to take place in the tiny haven above Noah’s Yard in the Uplands, Swansea. In October, Rose and I perform using electric guitar and violin, a setup which we will later develop, and attempt some semblance of signature instrumentation. Included in the line-up is Men Diamler, a folk singer whose style explores the tradition in almost operatic terms. and he is backed by clarinetist Chris Cundy. The bill is completed by Angharad Davies, a brilliant and innovative violin player who is able to create an intricate sound world with the instrument in its rawest, acoustic from.

Angharad, sister of Rhodri, is an artist we hope to include in the film. Rose and I interview her at our home base in Sketty, Swansea, where she talks about her experiences of playing experimental music, and where it belongs in the vast ocean of audio.
