Warning!!! Heart moment and long post: I just received a text from a friend this am with several scriptures which you can read below… it really just hit me emotionally! Throughout this entire journey from the moment at church when I first new something in my boy wasn’t right to the point at the first ER when they said EMSA is coming. Arriving at children’s, with a 10 to 15 nurses and Dr’s over my son working, seeing him convulsing on that table with a code team in the room and then watching him shocked to reset his heart. As his mother & I along side family watched as if this was some kind of a bad movie and hearing everyone start clapping because it worked. I was thinking how horrible this was and the next day Kaden said to me, “dad i felt like that kid on the movie breakthrough” Hours later going to the cardiac floor only to be there for a brief time because of another episode and being sent to the ICU. A rough night that was with a touch and go heart rate before they finally used a med that stopped his heart. There is nothing like watching your child flatline and then LIFE being restored to him again. Then finally getting a day of calmness in the ICU and Kaden having a good day and night. With all the new normals ahead and the journey he now begins comes with new fears and concerns that now will be removed because of the blood of Christ! *** Throughout every minute of this I have not heard Kaden complain ONE time he has truly showed the faith, strength and courage that only God provides! The other huge aspect of this journey has been the overwhelming support and prayers for our boy! I was blown away by the offices at peoples work who stopped business to pray specifics for Kaden when we put the requests out! Prayers are powerful! The visits, food, scriptures and people physically coming in to pray over him has been amazing. Update 4: its 3:00 am here and Kaden’s heart has responded to the meds but heart rate changed to junctional rhythm.... it worked a little to well and now his heart is dipping down in the 30’s but he is alert and they working on getting him to stable levels. In the past when someone tried to mock what I am doing to better myself I would become quieter and keep my thoughts and ideas below the surface... So much much growth has occurred this year through what we’ve been through, that is no longer the case. You see, its true when you are growing and becoming more it sometimes freaks out the people around you... their comments against you may be bold or they might be subtle passive aggressive remarks, either way they should make you stronger and more bold! This just happened yesterday with me and you know what it felt awesome!!!! It means that I am moving forward strong and courageous! My encouragement to you is that no matter what is happening around you hold your head up high and keep fighting forward... when people try to pull you off the mountain, dig in even stronger and get to the TOP.
