so my mom is a licensed cosmetologist (as well as other things relating to skin and hair treatment) and i asked her to teach me how to cut hair bc 1) im super bored and 2) i really feel like itd be a good skill to have n i can give my friends n fam free hair cuts. today i had my first lesson. my mom has mannequins leftover from when she used to teach so today i learned how to properly wash hair which i didnt really know there was like a “proper” way but u need to block certain areas like the ears and forehead and neck so water doesnt get anywhere and u need to massage the scalp a certain way so the hair doesn’t tangle :0 and then i trimmed some of the hair and my mom said i was a natural n i was like duh mom its bc im related 2 u :’) mmkay thats it :-)
