I listen to all the Chris Oatley podcasts and after hearing several artists recommend this book I grabbed it. I'm really bad at planning my compositions. Though I love to think about thinks when I take photos I run through thinks too quickly in my illustrations- probably to get to color which is my favorite but even how I use color should be focused more. Anyone who knows me, knows I don’t do scenes like this ever, backgrounds just ain’t my thing. I really pushed myself in some at times very uncomfortable directions to get through to these final pieces. They’re no masterpieces but I’m proud of them!
