I saw a reel on Instagram where someone was talking about the tv shows and movies they don't watch as a Christian and one was Harry Potter.
TW because I had a long day and Tumblr is my vent space when I want to share something but don't want my public account out in the open belittling someone even though they're dumb. So TW: language I guess. Not that a lot of people in Tumblr have this problem but I don't usually talk like this.
Fucking watch Harry Potter and read the books before you claim it's sinful. Oh my gosh these people! If you're a Christian calling Harry Potter sinful when you never fucking watched it who the Hell are you to say it's sinful!
"Oh here is my completely unbiased opinion about something I don't know about."
Ok, Margret. I don't care about your opinion. It's stupid. And now I can't trust your biblical knowledge because here's a verse you ignored:
Matthew 7:1-2 NLT
“Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. For you will be treated as you treat others. The standard you use in judging is the standard by which you will be judged."
Jesus said that. So no, I don't take biblical advice from someone who never opened a single page of Harry Potter yet calls it sinful. The same Christians are mad when someone calls all Christians evil by someone who never met every single Christian on the planet.
I'm mad because I'm not an idiot and has read the books and watched the movies and know that witchcraft in the real world doesn't include fucking wands and werewolves and shape shifting weirdos.
I'm mad because I'm fucking sick of this idiotic argument that Christians that haven't opened any book outside of the Bible are judging yet haven't any basis to judge anything because they don't go into the world. They wouldn't know evil if it hit them because they are so absorbed in their own little Christian world they can't tell if it's even in their Christian world. Hence how they judge something so harshly when it's innocent.
