Science projects were the last thing Sage wanted to spend her time doing. Especially when the teacher calls out that the class will have homework to go with it. With the copper hired girl’s time consumed in her band and part time job, well she hardly has the time for things like school. The girl with the head in her clouds has to remind herself that her only way OUT of this place is with an education or a record deal. Which she is doing all she can to help herself with. Anxious and twitchy fingers grab her pencil, running the smooth eraser over red stained lips. Those jade green hues of hers lingering over her options for partners. Of course everyone in this class is so pretentious mainly. They thought they knew what life had to give and that every day they wake up they will be safe. Sage would give just about anything to feel that way.
‘ your partners are‘
Oh of course it’s assigned. She tries to see the silver lining that maybe she would figure something new about the person, maybe she would like them. Though she highly doubted it. The red head moves her copper waves over her shoulder, waiting and sort of stretching as if it might help her prepare for her partner that would be beside her, but when she hears her name called with the new kid Christian, her interest peaks. He has sat in the middle of the classroom for the past few days, making her wonder what his story was. That was one of the things she always enjoyed doing. Learning about people, she’d met a lot of people and the most of them weren’t good.
She takes the leap when he doesn’t stand, grabbing her messenger bag and her faux leather jacket. Black combats move over the linoleum floor as she moves to the seat beside him. His attention not landing on her ha her curious. By her out there appearance in itself she usually got glance but he was too consumed in whatever was before him.
“ Looks like were partners in crime. “ She teases and sets her jacket at the end of the table, her interest still running from his average yet alluring appearance. His eyes were the brightest and most pure blue she had ever laid her eyes on, “ I’m Sage, but I’m assuming you knew that the minute he called my name.” Those blood red lips of hers quirk up as she keeps her forest hues on the boy.
