<center> A cure for Insecurity <center/>
EN Campus UP Tacloban’s Picnic sa AS talked about identity. Eden and I shared about our tendencies to look down to ourselves and to compare ourselves to others. As a human being, of course it is normal for us to feel incompetent, insignificant and insecure. I’d like to discuss what we’ve talked about but I came across with Leslie Ludy’s blog ( btw if you have read Leslie Ludy’s “When God Writes Your Love Story and you find it really refreshing and awesome, I agree with you!...*fist bump*) about insecurity.
John the Baptist declared, “He must increase, but I must decrease” (John 3:30).
“This is not just the secret to living out the true Gospel; it is also the secret to glowing with divine loveliness. And it is the cure for female insecurity.”
“Think about it. A woman who has truly denied herself, taken up her cross, and become entirely consumed with Jesus Christ is not going to be an insecure young woman, starving herself, and obsessed with making herself look more attractive. Rather, she is so enraptured with Jesus Christ that she has completely lost sight of herself. As Bishop Bardsley put it, “...they care not at all what the world thinks of them, because they are entirely taken up with the tremendous reality of Christ.”

They were so caught up in the things of God that they gave no thought to their own lives. They did not seek to draw eyes to themselves. They sought to bring glory to Jesus Christ alone. As a result, they were some of the most confident, poised, and courageous women that have ever lived. They accomplished amazing things for the Kingdom of God. They saved lives. They stood before Kings. They rescued dying children. They reformed societies.”
The secret to becoming the radiant, beautiful princesses of our childhood dreams is forgetting all about ourselves and becoming completely consumed with only one thing – Jesus Christ.
