Anger
I remember seeing the book, How to Win Friends and Influence People, on my Dad’s bookshelf. In all the time between then and now I’ve had no desire to actively “win friends and influence people”, it pretty much comes naturally to me. 😏 Recently, a friend at work encouraged me to give it a whirl! I’m pleasantly surprised. So far, I’ve gleaned anger and criticism are not the way to get what you want-or to get who you want-for that matter. It’s easy for me to come home with a snarky attitude. If I don’t check it at the door, the blood letting can get out of hand. The last couple of weeks I’ve really tried hard to be positive at work and at home. I notice more and more how much more effective it is. I challenge you, this week, to trade your sarcasm and criticism for goodness and mercy. Be nice to one another! You should be pleasantly surprised!
