Oops, missed a couple days again, but dont’ worry, Chickens, I’m gonna make that up to you!
Today, I want to introduce you to another unnamed horror hero, Christopher McKenney. No doubt, the name means nothing to you, but I bet when you see the images, you’ll know who I’m talking about.
Christopher McKenney is a bit of a mystery. There’s no “about” section of his website and his Facebook page has a lot of blanks. But looking at his artwork, you can see that he’s found an appropriate outlet to work through whatever issues he may have. Were that we were all so lucky!

Christopher Mckenny Pennsylvania based conceptual photographer captures macabre scenes involving out of context and put of body subjects. Mckenny makes the landscape work for him by creating a naturally decaying environment to his life-like nightmarish narratives. Death is a prevalent theme in his work as well as psychological terror. He explores themes of loss, abuse and mental health through abstract, halting scenery. I really enjoy his connection of the natural world to the human destruction of nightmares and surrealism. Mckenny has a unique way of bringing a demonic world into one that we, as viewers can relate to. I find strong attachment to his images involving suffocation, as this was , and remains one of my greatest fears. Mckenny however, makes something so terrifying seem beautiful, even while being gruesome.
