She was still so young, so full of hope and spunk.
But soon all of that bubbling energy would be gone.
Since 76 was there during the Slipstream accident, he knew that if any harm came to that chronal accelerator, it would just unanchor her from the time and space. And that just wouldn’t do. Looks like helix rockets were out this time. He could only use his stellar aim, Tactical Visor and his pulse rifle. And he had nothing against that.
But there lied the second problem, the gadget stuck to her chest also gave her free control of time, allowing her to zip forward and rewind should she suffer too much damage. That was cheating. So it seemed like he had to damage the chronal accelerator, not enough to destroy it, but enough to make it unresponsive, to make it malfunction. Instead of a bullet, he should instead use another more old-fashioned projectile, that wouldn’t have enough power to go through the gadget, but enough power to puncture the outer part.
A throwing knife would do just fine, given his genetically increased strength. The crazed soldier just had to wait for the perfect chance for Tracer to let her guard down, before striking from the shadows. A clean throw and it hit just where he wanted it to hit, right in the heart of the gadget. Her body already starter blinking in place every once in a while, which meant that 76 would have more then enough time to set his plan in motion. He slowly walked over to where the british girl’s body last lay, setting down a mine that he had just scavenged off of Junkrat beforehand, it still had splatters of blood on it, as he waited for Tracer to appear again.
“S̀orr͟y̨ ͝kid̕,̧ you didn͟'t̶ ma̢ke͞ ̨the ̧cu͜ţ.̧” he spoke in his now normal crazed voice, just as she phased back in for a few precious moments, enough for him to detonate the mine, blowing her body sky high into a shower of blood and bits and pieces. But given her unique properties, they still phased in and out of this realm, before finally settling in the current time.
Now he needed to wash his jacket again, great.
