arthur’s breath was shaky, his whole body felt numb. he wanted to run, run as fast as he can out of there, but something kept him planted right where he was. his friend’s scream was still playing on repeat in his mind. the sounds of fire.. screams.. then nothing.
“ p-please.. have mercy, whoever you are.. ”
he could feel the heat coming from the flame source near him. he wanted to let out a sob, but his breath was choked up. he was going to die as a blind and defenseless man.

✿: Which one act in your muse’s past are they most ashamed of? Which one act in their past are they most proud of?
Sniper isn’t too ashamed of much. Sloppy jobs, maybe, or times he’d gotten into fights with his parents. That sticks out the worst to him - a sloppy job meant he still got paid, but fighting with his dad? That made things tense for weeks on end. The worst one that sometimes came back to haunt him was when he first told his parents what sort of jobs he was taking. The look on their faces alone is enough to make him weak in the knees again, make that feeling of shame curl inside him. Later, when they’d learned to accept it (his father still complained constantly) things got better.
What Sniper says he’s most proud of is the time he wrestled and tagged a crocodile. He probably never actually did that. Probably.
‽: Who or what, if anything, would your muse die for or otherwise go to extremes for?
Sniper would die for two things: his family and his team. If either were threatened, he’d throw himself in front of a bullet for them. Or do anything else that he’d need to. He thinks of his teammates and his family in the same sense, really.
▼: What would you find in your muse’s refrigerator right now?
Leftovers, beer, and assorted game he’s bagged from surrounding wilderness. Probably not much else. He has a tiny fridge in his camper, okay, he can’t fit much in there.

Pyro was an enigma to Sniper. He didn’t know anything about the firebug - hell, he didn’t even have a clue as to whether Pyro was a man or a woman or anything else. Frankly, he didn’t care what Pyro was - they did their job and they did it efficiently, and that’s what mattered. Professionalism. Perhaps, from Sniper’s perspective, Pyro did their job with a bit of terrifying glee, but the mercenary was efficent and played an important role. He was glad to have the Pyro around on the job.
Even more glad when the suited mercenary took out an enemy Spy. He’d often return the favor later, pulling the trigger on anyone getting too close to Pyro - that was what he was there for, after all. He protected his teammates. And paid attention to the ones that helped him.
And it was after one such match that he found himself packing his gun away with Pyro in close proximity. He very rarely spoke to him, but figured that a kind gesture now and then wouldn’t hurt. Right? Right.
“Hey, kid,” He approached with a hesitant stance, ready to turn tail if given the wrong sort of response. “Thanks for watchin’ my back.”
