@chrysavis gets a chrys-mas starter
Faith wasn’t sure if she was more comfortable or uncomfortable not knowing the majority of people at this party. She used to revel in anonymity, dancing her way through a crowd with predatory grace and speed. But a Christmas party wasn’t exactly the place for that type of behavior, and it was harder to forget herself in the group when occasionally locking eyes with friends, former enemies, and the like. (Especially when Alfred said he’d be keeping an eye on how much Christmas spirit people were imbibing.)
So, snack table it was.
It wasn’t like she was trying to ignore Theo. In fact, she’d probably go back to sitting with him shortly. But this buffet spread was really speaking to her. “Dude, have you tried these little sausage rolls? They’re so good, I think I’ve had like five of them since I got here,” she said as she bumped shoulders with a stranger at the table.
