hmmmm. ok, I like the Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater, lmao. and Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
11). what non-fiction books do you like if any?
Making Music in the Polish Mountains by Timothy J. Cooley (mostly because I’m obsessed w/ the music of these ppl. helps that I’m a music major and my g-pa was from here but ... yeah.)
I haven’t read many nonfiction books that aren’t ... ferret-related, but there’s a ton on my to-read list!

oh LORD. ok ok ok ... the DIVERGENT SERIES!!! GOD. read it, disliked it, then rEALLY disliked it as it boomed. it’s just so BLAH and nothing really makes sense when u think about it ok? i’m just UGHHG.
CARRY ON BY RAINBOW ROWELL is l i t e r a l l y a published harry potter fanfic with the names changed. and worse? a gay fetish fanfic published, because this author prev. published a book called “Fangirl”, in which she basically says "straight fangirls writing fanfic of slash is a legitimate hobby! and shouldn’t be scorned!” also also, this book, Carry On, is the fanfic the girl in “Fangirl” was writing, lmao. I have more to say, but ...
graceling. i’m sorry, everyone. i know tumblr loves this one. but the mc is one of those “i’m not like other girls!!!”, and I couldn’t stand her. there was also some lesbophobia, internalized misogyny that’s never corrected, etc. I just didn’t like it.
20). what are things you look for in a book?
some diversity, of course ! and then something that makes it differ from like .. your basic YA formula if I’m looking for YA. (aka protag in a world and there’s a government/thing and at some age they have to marry/go thru a ceremony and THIS TIME something DIFFERENT happens to them, whaaaat?)
I love things based on mythology, OWNvoices, etc., and will prioritize them over other things.
