The Public Enemy logo was made from paper, pens, a craft knife and a photocopier
No sticky-backed plastic appears to have been involved
Long before Photoshop, the logo was drawn and coloured in by hand. The rest is hip-hop history

Once constructed it was inverted using a setting on a photocopier!
It's supposed to represent the concept of the black man in America - and considering the recent news from Ferguson is still a very relevant and potent image
Chuck-D recently told Rolling Stone magazine, that people had initially got confused
"A lot of people thought it was a state trooper because of the hat, but the hat is one of the ones that Run-DMC wore. The B-Boy stance and the silhouette was more like the black man on the target.
They're selling some sunglasses with it on now
They wanted to produce some merchandise but didn't want to go down the "lucrative vodka shit," route "where it's the rapper goes big and has his own vodka."
