TIL what disenrollment is. This is a crazy documentary-style podcast I found. A report on American tribes that kick out their own members to obtain higher shares of casino profits--like old-timey pirates or something. The fewer that make it to the end, the more gold each person gets. They do it through witch hunts and purity tests. Nobody outside the tribes could legally intervene when the Chuckchansi tribe kicked out their oldest member who was one of the last 6 people to speak the language.
