Wilson's basis is EMD F-Unit which were used on American railroads and Brewster is based on BR Class 55. that's why I like to headcanon that due to their different backgrounds they would often argue about which accent is more correct, British or American. and then there's Koko, whose native language is not even English...

brewster: do we have to stand to attention for 4 minutes already?--

hodge: (walking in with a box with a gift) ..why are you standing to attention?

koko: why are you asking us this question??

hodge: alright. I'd like to ask you to give that to zephie

wilson: (reaching out to the box) can I just--

hodge: no.

hodge: it would be great if you do that during the day

trainees: okay!

brewster: ..wait. why can't you give zephie a gift yourself?

hodge: (flustered) I uh... I'm just... (goes to the exit of the repair shed) because I'm very busy and eddie asked me to help him, bye-
