This high collar top is made from material that several ethnic groups in #Eritrea wear as head coverings (irrespective of religions beliefs). Interestingly enough the pattern is a block printed version of a hand dyed technique from various regions of the Indian Subcontinent called #Bandhani or #Chundari. Eritrea having a major port for the continent of Africa for centuries no doubt would export and import fabrics.
