My interpretation of the loudmouth scene in this fic by remrose
it's like a 7 year long anxiety attack ending in a way
Thinking about innate faith symbolism in silksong. Even their currency is prayer beads, they devote their lives to climbing ever higher, ever closer to the holy land. And when they get there they are forced to work, to toil and sweat and bleed to ascend AGAIN. Every bead is saved, greed becomes holy, compassion is deadly when a handful of beads is the difference between surviving and continuing to work.
Everything is a commodity. Healing, resting, eating, existing. And even when theyre dead they dont get to rest, they must serve evermore as the cogworkers, unable to rest peacefully.
Tell me, father.
Why I have these chains?
