“Goo goo-” Chaeyeon frowned and groaned at the other. If the cartoons wherein the nose was flaring were true to life, it would be her at the moment. “You were the one who told me to stop walking and now—” she grimaced and looked down at her shirt. “Now i have ketchup smeared on my white shirt.”

“You should have been more careful then!” she insisted, her eternal stubbornness obvious, “Just because I told you to stop and look doesn’t mean to you completely disregard everything else.” Rosalynn grumbled, reaching into her bag in search of tissues, “Just... we’ll go get it dry cleaned.”

A tiny part of her wanted to scold the younger female for offering Hanna comfort in silence, when it wasn’t what she was looking for at all. Besides, she was certain that such a young and pretty idol could waste her time somewhere else instead of trying to help Hanna get back on her feet, but she didn’t voice that for fear of hurting the younger’s features.

Didn’t it, after all, require a certain amount of kindness and courage to come up to a friend and offer them a hand, even more so when they didn’t have a clear idea of what exactly could be done either? Hanna didn’t want to hold Chaeyeon’s innocent hope against her, as she too, remembered what it felt like to try and see the best in everything and everyone; but times changed, and so had she. There was no more room for such small details left.  ❝That’s kind of you, but I’d rather have you doing something useful with your time. There’s no use in sitting here and waiting for me to speak, when I have no intentions of doing so.❞

Her head fell to the side as she offered a gentle, albeit slightly forced smile before she brought up a hand to the other’s cheek to give it a light pinch. ❝My, you’re growing thinner with every day. You should definitely eat more, is your company not giving you food?❞

Chaeyeon stared at the other one, a little confused and tad bit irritated at the other one’s retort. “Woooow, seriously? You’re really going to make a fuss about a small cookie bite?” she scoffed a bit as she crossed her arms, her lips twitching a bit. “That’s a bit childish, unnie.” 

“It’s not a small cookie bite? it was a small cookie bite on the last cookie!” she grumbles under her breath, keeping her her arms crossed while giving her back to the young female besides her “Tell me who is the childish one here, you knew that it was the last one and you still bite it” she shakes her head with a huff passing through her lips.

The girl plastered a cheeky smile as she shook her head, refusing to say again what she had; she hated repeating things. But for some reason, this was something to laugh about- ah, yet another mischievous thing coming out of her mouth. “Nothing!” she replied too quickly. Her hands covering her mouth a little as she looked up at the male, hoping he won’t ask her to repeat again.

LYING WAS, is, his game. and being in the game long enough gave him the skills to know if someone else is playing along so even if he did not hear her clearly he knew that nothing meant something. "come on, tell me, i missed it." he fiddled with his ears before he leaned forward, closer to her with a hand cupped behind the right ear. "i regularly clean my ears so i don't think they are the problem here. you need to speak a bit more louder than that or else i'll have to always stay so close, particularly have my ears all up in your face, which is not that easy because, you're... short. and it'll be hard on my back to always be leaning this way. but i'm going off topic. what did you say?"
