    There’s a grin plastered to her face, despite the fact that the bestbestbest friend won’t be able to see it through the phone. Whateverwhatever, she’ll continue to be as emphatic as possible and hope that her tone of voice reflects the same, but twice as much!

                      —— ❝Te-to—chaan, remember the time I lent you                                my bicycle for that one trip to the mall?❞                                           (the fact that the bike broke down halfway through is tastefully excluded.)

    A pause as she awaits the response; fingers are crossed, praying that by some chance, maybe she won’t remember how the bicycle story ended. Who would have thought that bikes needed maintenance? It’s too long a story to recall in its entirety, but for some reason, the memory of a arguing over who walked hope the bike doesn’t really strike her as a good one. At least they now know something about bikes, right?

    Ah, whatever — off-topic thoughts won’t help her much with this reverse-sales-pitch. If she focuses too hard on the bike incident, she’ll guilt-trip herself over the fact that she has to bribe her best friend in case a simple ask doesn’t work.
