Headcanon: Zarah Shipping

I have seen people that love or headcanon ship for Zarah which so far I remember there: Zarah x Denali, Zarah x Scott, Zarah X Yuri, Zarah X Mark, Zarah x Senja, Zarah X Rafael. However i never seen someone ship Zarah x Eva which i notice sometimes based on their dialogue. So i will share the evident i found:

Bread

Someone give Zarah bread secretly.

This happened more than once.

If you go to Coral Island Wiki you will found only two characters that give bread to player: Eva and Sam. Which make sense as Sam sell bread and Eva the one that own the recipe and work for Sam as baker.

Of course is possible Sam the one give Zarah bread, but based on this dialogue. Sam openly offer food to Zarah in the past so there no reason for Sam to give Zarah bread secretly. So Eva the one that give Zarah bread.

2. Cookies

Zarah activity always the same all year except winter where every saturday she visit Sam store.

Her unique activity in winter does get noticed by Eva.

Because she dont really know Zarah she assume Zarah loves cookies because Zarah buy the cookies in bulk. Which she not, she just like it.

That the reason why she bring cookies to hot pot festival because she buy cookies in bulk during winter so she still has some cookies to donate.

Those cookies topic remind me of this dialogue by Eva which I cant help found it to be more fit if she talking with Zarah than player.

3. Decorative Pillows

If player talk to Eva she will told you how she love DIY to safe cost including:

A. crocheted her own scarf;

B. draw batik pattern on her shirts, and

C. sewing decorative pillows.

While she sew it for herself. I can’t help (again) connect it to Zarah because Zarah seems to love decorative pillows and probably NPC bedroom with the most decorative pillows. So, i found it cute they have same interest! Despite how they look and act opposite of each other.

There also another screenshots that make me support this pairing more and more however those screenshot mostly about how they have opposite personality, but compliment each other. So i plan to post those screenshot on another post later.

Eva is trans. She introduced herself as Everest. And according to Google it's a boy's name. So I thought maybe she is trans. I mean we already have two NB characters so why not a cute little trans baker. <3

obviously she enjoys baking but she actually doesn’t really want to cook outside of work. she doesnt mind it ofc but if the farmer made her dinner? god she’d swoon instantly.

though, she’d love to bake with the farmer. especially if they dont really know how, fun bonding experience

she knits! during the winter she knits the dogs and cats around town sweaters :)

maybe if the farmer asked shed be willing to make them one too…

gift giving is her giving love language, her friends can expect her to leave a box of cookies by their mail box or small things she found around town and was reminded of them by

quality time is her receiving love language. shes not clingy but if shes not busy, it’s important for her to be around her friends <3!

Meet the Dateables: Eva

Eva is a bachelorette. She is a happy-go-lucky baker who works at the general store. She enjoys talking to the islanders, be it local, new, visitors, everybody! And is good friends with a lot of them. Currently, Eva doesn't have a lot of savings but when she does, has dreams to visit more exotic places. According to the islanders, Eva is always a delight to talk to— a positive ray of sunshine. A fan of red velvet cakes and cookies. Sews most of her clothes herself!

Headcanon: Eva Age

Not a discourse, but people should stop seeing Eva as this barely legal woman 😅 I have seen many people headcanon her as 18-19 years old which as Indonesian myself i was shock because while true she look younger compare to other woman and i admit she "naive" and still has lot of dream. However i dont think she THAT young.

First I dont think Coral Island game dev will make someone that young with how many older looking dateables. Second this is something that non Indonesian may not aware because is need cultural context. Eva is Javanese woman (The biggest ethnicity in Indonesia) and Javanese usually not expected to study or work far from home unless they forced too (for example economic reason make them desperate to go far for job). Because Javanese people dont like too take risk/ scared of doing something new. Which you can sometimes see on Eva dialogue how she afraid to take risk or how Joko not interested to try new job.

Yeah Eva often talk how she not well off/rich and so need saving money, but she also not save money for helping her family infact is seems like her family is financialy okay without Eva help. That why I cant see her that young. Her family situation give me impression she move to Coral Island mostly on her own reason.

Usually they only brave to move far if they reach career oriented age which in Indonesia usually after 21 years old. Because first year student in university/advance school in indonesia usually around 18 or 17 years old.

I am still not sure if Eva went through university but atleast i do think she go to some skill classes or have some side job related to bakery before go to Coral Island. So that why I headcanon her as atleast 23 years old which yes you can found lot of 22-25 years old woman in Indonesia that look as youthful as Eva.

I need to said this because i had seen some non Indonesian player uncomfortable dating her because they though she around 18-19 years old which okay good reason, but I dont think she that young haha that why i need to clarified 😅
